Very nice. I spend an unhealthy amount of time looking 'for sale ads' of Subaru Legacy / Outbacks of that era. Perfect under-the-radar estates.
I spent 2 years with a 2005 GT wagon and a further 4 years with a 2013 GT wagon and can confirm they are marvellously capable, moreso than the numbers suggest, and immensely satisfying to own. Good to read about this one thumbup

What little it lacks in speed it makes up for in momentum though Pommy nerd
I was referring to the V70 not your Alpina. Momentum in the Volvo was achievable and fine, until you got to a corner. Then it was very much unfine…

I was referring to the V70 too. I don’t suppose there are many p=mv jokettes which are funny so I’ll get my coat…

Thanks to everyone for this thread. Lovely wagons on here. I uploaded my pride and joy R wagon and now find myself looking up all manner of other fast estates on PH and eBay! 🤣

Quick rather than fast but I like it.
Do love the looks of these, especially without the big 19s on them. thumbup

Pricing all over the place at the moment though and I'm finding it hard to ignore the Leon Cupra for the same money with 300bhp, AWD and virtual cockpit Vs a vRS with a bigger boot (which is the main requirement!) and a more discreet demeanour!
I had a similar conundrum but the bigger boot, manual gearbox and, to my eyes, better looks swung it for the Octavia.

I had 11 years with a 2002 GTB, great cars. smile I've probably already posted that at least once in the murky past of this thread!

Here's my dog wagon, SAAB 9-3 2.8 V6 with Hirsch Performance on it, Hirsch sold them as 275bhp but more like 300bhp.

Might throw the Insignia VXR turbo and injectors into it to go for 350ish.
