There's one of these local to me... same colour combo, looks superb. There's just something about them, really nice / understated / awesome all rolled in to one.

A blue B5 passed me this morning in Morden. Hello if it was one of you!

Nice cars but I found the exhaust set up on the 66 plate I leased a little odd....

This was the setup of the Mk7 - only 2 real outputs with 2 x fakes. The Mk7.5 moved to 4 x real outputs. Not sure about the 8.
Yes, I ran a MK7 R for two and a half years. Silly exhaust tips. One each side was all it needed. I now have a 67 plate 310 R estate and a 19 plate WLTP R estate. At least they've bothered to connect up all the tips now. Still two too many tips but good to not have the blatant design fakery. The MK8 estate will almost certainly have four functioning tips.

It is, it sort of pisses me off but it's not a dealbreaker. I wouldn't mind at all if I intended to just can the whole exhaust system but I'm only planning on a resonator delete. I wonder how easy it is just binning the stock fake tips and getting some from Milltek or wherever for the real pipes out the back boxes.

I am growing to enjoy the car more though, wasn't sure at first but I can appreciate that it's a really well sorted bit of kit. It has the adaptive dampers and if you pin it from low speed in comfort mode it does a sort of Cossie squat which is fun. It's not staying standard for long though, I'm going to get it down to Revo for a remap and DSG software, probably in January.

Thanks, only had it a fortnight so still getting to know it, not had much chance to video anything, might have to wait for a trackday to film anything that won't get me in hot water biggrin

Agreed they're great cars. Hugely practical and rapid.

Just picked this up at the weekend - more lukewarm than fast compared to some of the metal on here - V60 T5 with Polestar upgrade unleashing an extra (count 'em) 3 mighty BHP at the top end biggrin

Yeah, that's the one, there's not many of them about!

Had my eye on it for a wee while but couldn't justify the inflated prices at the moment, glad it's gone to someone on PH! Perfect spec with launch colour and wheels, heated/cooled seats and all the other toys. Enjoy it!
