2- That passat - has it had any paint work, is it me or does the rear passenger door like a different shade? Speaking of which is silver one of the colours that just looks like that?
It hasn’t knowingly had paintwork done, but paintwork is the one area it could do with some attention. Think paint on the R36 isn’t the best in general, and several of the silver ones look slightly different shades - at least online.

V5C says it's an estate so I'm taking that wink .. and it swallowed several bags of garden waste the other week which I doubt either of my previous hatchbacks (Focus, Golf) would have managed.

It's a 2018 Cooper S 2.0L 190HP so brisk rather than fast, but still passed the Auto Trader sub-8s to 60 filter and feels quick enough on the road. I'll get round to a readers cars thread eventually.
One of my friend's wives has a Clubman and he is forever complaining of how much of a pain the rear doors are and the third door being on the wrong side; "It's not an estate it's a pain in the arse" biggrin

Anyway, here are some fast estates, from a by-gone era smile

How on earth does that RS6 only have 3,600 miles, wow!
Now has 4366, looks like the dealer has a toy for the weekends.

Ok so there's a very simple answer-it was the property of Audi UK and sat in the 'Audi Heritage' collection until around April last year. I spoke to them and they told me it was most probably a 'Static Demonstrator' meaning it just sat looking pretty and showcasing the model. Wasnt a test car, Directors Car or anything-it did approx 150 miles a year and was fully serviced etc by Audi UK via Fleet Management. MOT showed that last April for MOT it had done a massive 967 miles which aint bad for a Nov 2015 car. They released it last May-ish it went to a very careful owner who then sold it to me. I then found myself with a weird reality-the USP of that car was it's condition and mileage. So I rarely drove it until I realised I bought the car to drive it and not have it sat on the drive. After 5 months sold it (lost no money due to condition etc) and there it sits for sale.
It's in immaculate condition-here are a few shots I took of the underside in Feb:

Not too shabby for a 6.5 year old car!

I can answer that one! I sold the car to We Buy Supercars (highly recommended) and they drove it to Yorkshire. The car dealer then picked it up and bizarrely then drove it all the way to Cornwall where she sits now. Personally I would have had it trailered down but that's their choice. If its still on 4366 then they wont be driving it much I imagine.

Now we're talking! I've already raved about my new E63S but heres the car it replaced:

Still for sale down in Cornwall in case anyone wants a unicorn C7 RS6 and amongst the lowest miles in the UK?

This is one pampered and cared for motor and it is genuinely like new-the underside still has original stickers on them. Needs to go to a good home!
RS6 is probably still at the head of my wishlist of cars.

What made you change to the E63S (reading your other post I see you hardly drove the RS6) but was the '63 a better drive over another RS6 or just fancied a change of marque?

Probably been between the glass house in MK and the tech centre.

Long story short-it's my second C7. I briefly owned one in 2017 for a few months and my man maths got way ahead of me and I was paying too much for a car I loved but I just wasnt earning that much to justify the outlay. Went back into this one as it was too good to pass by (see where that got me!!) to get it out of my system. The RS6 is a legendary car and I 100% recommend them to anyone. If I wanted to do a 20 second comparison:
C7 RS6 good points:
Looks
Planted delivery
Comfort on long drives with surprising economy
Performance
E63S:
Looks from front only-no flared rear arches (why not AMG?!!)
Performance-insane and more than RS6. Drives like its alive so the much more exciting machine
Handling. Brilliant for a 5m barge.
Economy is 'ok' but takes a while to get there.
NOISE!

Both are epic cars in their own right and worthy of accolades. I wanted to get a car I didn't have to d1ck around with tuning or changing exhausts (had to do that with my B9 RS5) etc. Something out of the box brilliant and savage. E63S look no further!!

Does my new (to me) moderately warm mini estate qualify?

Yes, its an estate and faster than some posted in this thread.
They’re not quite a hatch and not quite an estate either (we have one). I think the car mags might say similar. More like a hatch with an upright rear window and boot space is like a hatch rather than estate.

Whatev, I like them and I guess if the V5 says estate…

Fully loaded with dogs, kids, & luggage today for a trip to lakes. Normal driving (I.e not trying to be especially economical) and managed 38.5mpg. Magic this thing.

Looks great!

Is that the Travall dog divider?

You gotta love the separate glass hatch on BMW estates.

Portimao is a lovely shade, they know how to do a good blue in Munich.

Details for the roofbox and rails would be appreciated.

Yes, it's very solid and no rattles or squeaks at all. Unfortunately they don't do a gate for the 60:40 option that spans the larger side so just bought the one gate to test it out.

Certainly, I went with a package deal from the roof box company, you put your vehicle details in and they give you compatible options, very easy. Thule evo wingbars, kamei delphin 470 and fitting kit. Also got an inno bike carrier but haven't brought it this time.

A nearly 30 year BMW 530i Touring weighs the same as your 2018 Mini estate, does a similar 0-60 and that wasn't classed as a fast estate back when it was new.

Mate, someone posted an ST-line focus a few pages ago. Leave off a bit, hey? Go outside maybe
I think it was a 1.0 Ecoboost too, to add to the pathetic hilarity.

Given my ST Estate a few things this week - new Ford badge, plates, plate holders and the sticker. Not so happy with the position of the sticker, though, but loving the car so far.

If you use any roofbox dot co dot uk type company be sure to take lots of photos of your car roof before you have them fit everything.
I didn't, and several weeks after returning everything I noticed a 2 inch scratch on the roof which would've cost four figures to repair as the car had a panoramic roof.

Very disappointing and 100% due to fitting of the roofrack, but given the time delay I couldn't prove it was their fault.

Anyway, back to fast estated, can anyone lend me £60k for an RS6 I've spotted for sale?

A third party to fit roof bars/box etc?? It’s literally a few bolts.

Respectfully, who on earth needs a third party to fit roof bars/box etc?? It’s literally a few bolts.

He’s talking about a website that let’s you order the right kit (roofbox.co.uk) not an unnecessary fitting service that damages your car.
I have the ability and equipment to wash my car yet still pay people to clean it, I could do basic service jobs yet pay a mechanic, I could fit a roof box but would probably just get someone to do it whilst I had a coffee.
