Thanks both, excellent back to back notes smile

The 4.0 seems alot better really, 35 is actually amazing and an upgrade for me on my 3.0 V6 supercharged which never gets past 31 and is around low 20's mostly.
Audi 4.0 TT TFSI in the S6 at Stage 1 510hp does 35 minimum on motorway. I've regularly had 38 on M4. Once had 44 from London to Reading, mostly 50mph zone but still impressive.

I genuinely think I'd daily an Alpina for about 15 years and they hold their value too. Suddenly £80k or so over 15 years doesn't seem completely outlandish.
If I've done the math right that's still £444 a month in just depreciation. Ouch.
Except it won’t be worth zero at 15 years old.
That's assuming it's worth £15k, which in 15 years is probably a fair shout, given the uncertainty around petrol cars. And that's with VAT taken off, would be even worse otherwise hehe
Running an Alpina is not a decision made with a financial head biggrin

Lol, don't get me wrong, man maths is an excellent tool and should be used as they are excellent. Just not sensible for the wallet, but worth every penny

My previous car - B8.5 S4 MRC Stage 2 474ps 597nm

And followed by my current car - C6 RS6 MRC Stage 2 744ps 1010nm

Nice! How is the RS6 in terms of running costs and things breaking? I idly peruse them in my quest for something 4x4...

And it still looks staggeringly good. The mpg and cost to fill up would be making me wince at the moment tho cry

Suppose it’s the product of the shift from estates to SUVs, the ones that are available and fast are mainly German. Gas guzzling usually comes with fast too.

Yeah. They are estates and they are fast. So "Fast Estates" works just fine.

Yeah. They are estates and they are fast. So "Fast Estates" works just fine.
Also, we are British, we drink tea and no one calls it ‘gas’.

I can't recall having seen a V70R on this thread... if so, not in ages. Are they not owned by enthusiasts?
