My wife's always spotting furniture bargains on holiday. No problem, that'll fit in the back on an E Class estate along with all the luggage, bedding, walking gear and cycling gear.

Arrived at our destination after having decanted quite a lot of stuff! The space occupied by the little bikes in the boot motivated me to stop en route and pick up two (more!) MB bike racks.

Is your co-pilot enormously tall? smile

enHerefordshire. Arrived last night, having cancelled our Provence trip on the basis of Amber+ only for that to be cancelled today!

I've absolutely no idea what's going on there. Making my teeth itch...

My (very similar) car winds the head restraint thing up when moving the seat (sometimes). I have no idea why.

Couple of mine do that. If you move the seat backwards it assumes the person in the seat must be taller so whacks up the headrest, and vice versa. At least that's the theory.

Same same here. Cellar needs re-stocking, too. M20 Junction 11a has my name on it now.

Maybe that's the answer. Lots of people jumping in and out at the moment for various trips - my family + a nice and a nephew. And their dog.

Excellent nblr, I've still got to make that journey myself, as discussed previously. How did it behave on the journey?

By the way, there's a campaign to assess the health of the insect population in the UK, by counting a small portion of carcasses, more info here.

Funnily enough, there are barely any on my car after a late evening country drive on the A44 (from the M5) to Leominster.

Saw this at Beaulieu yesterday, is it one of the PH cars?

It was a nice easy drive, but the A9 gives only a few chances to stretch the legs unfortunately so could be easily done in anything with a cruise control. I did the A74 to Carlisle and back last weekend which was more like it, in the ahem 90+ kind of area.

Interesting about the bug counters, too late for me now though. It wasn’t too bad until we hit Fife, but dusk is usually worse for midges so that’s probably where I hit a lot of them. The windscreen was noticeably harder to clean the last 20 miles after the forth bridge.
