To be honest, if 'they' have your email address from whatever source, they will use it to spoof emails from you. So it won't matter how much you change passwords or clean your system, they can carry on using it.
Edited to say: If you want to get technical, you can examine the (often hidden) headers to see who the email actually came from and not just who it displayed that it came from. Likely it will show another address altogether. If not and it does appear to come from you then it's more likely an account hack, and changing passwords should help.

They informed me that they had hacked my computer and knew that I had been watching pornography, they went on informing me that they had switched on my Webcam and recorded what I was doing while watching the porn and that they were going to make the videos public unless I paid them good money
I thought I was deep in it until I realised that I haven't got a Webcam

I had some guy in the states saying that he has been watching me from my built in camera, he said it was entertaining to say the least and wanted $999 or he would put it on youtube...I wrote back and said.."Cool...make sure you credit me right as I could do with the money"...they never bothered me again...although I did receive an email from youtube advising me not to post such graphic content or I will be banned for life"...ha ha ha
