That car is just wrong for so many reasons. 4 seats WTF. Owned an RS4 up until recently, awesome everyday car, let down by a highly dull engine. The same engine in this very expensive Cayenne. No chance.
RS4 a great drive but the ride is extremely firm to say the least. Not great for passengers.

Are you against freedom of choice?

Why do you care what other people do? What's up?
I've seen freedom of choice in action first hand when witnessing overweight Americans returning with full plates from the buffet bar in one of those all you can eat US breakfast diners.

A plate of sausages topped with blue raspberry jelly anyone? Bowl of wheetos topped with turkey ham and strawberry yoghurt. I've seen it all!!!

Just goes to show that sometimes people when left to their own devices and faced with too much choice can sometimes choose things that just should not exist.

A coupe is a fixed roofed car with a sloping rear. How is this less a coupe than a 4-series or S-Class coupe?

Manufacturers can call their cars what they like. BMW use touring for estate. Others use Sportback. SUV/SUC/SAC - who gives a st?
Ares, I hate to inform you that almost all cars have a fixed roof and a sloping rear.

Whilst those foods do sound disgusting, if they like it, why does it bother you? I don't particularly like celery, doesn't mean I think anyone who eats it is a fking moron.

You're really just ridiculous, and clearly just about everyone else thinks the same.

The difference between you and me is that I respect the fact you can have your own opinion, even though it's fking absurd and totally stupid. You, however, don't respect the fact that some people have different opinions and tastes to do, and that only your opinion is correct.

Carbon roof on an SUV

PRICELESS - it will sell well
SUVs by their design aren't as dynamic as a saloon. That's physics. Porsche try to make whatever sort of car they're building to be the most sporty in its class. Having a lighter roof won't do it any harm.... So what's wrong with it exactly? Would you rather the roof be made of granite?
Well yes a granite roof would suit it perfectly - utterly ridiculous & completely pointless

You're not.

You're entitled to an opinion, which you like to express, but that doesn't make you correct.

It doesn't make you wrong. But it doesn't make you right.

You must be a very hard person to live with. So basically, if someone likes something you don't, they're wrong? If there's someone else out there with the exact same views regarding being right/wrong, yet likes different things, I wonder who's right? You'll think you are, they'll think they are. In reality though, you're both dheads.

Thanks once more for your kind description Ross. I give my opinion of a particular car, you call me a d*ckhead. So nice that you are tolerant of other people's opinions.

But I haven't commented on your opinion about the car, I've commented on your view/beliefs on other peoples' opinion, you saying they are wrong....you are stating it as a fact, and not an opinion. So yes, I stand by my opinion on you smile I am tolerant of the opinion you hold that you think the car is pointless. I am not tolerant of you thinking that everyone who holds a different opinion to you is wrong.

hope that's clear enough for you to understand smile

Out of step with market needs? Is that what YOU decide the market needs? Because SUVs are by far the fastest growing sector, so the market says something very different from what you say it should..?
Not against SUVs as a concept, I am against ignoring the companies philosophy of producing performance with efficiency.

The Porsche market has never ‘needed’ this type of Porsche SUV, nobody asked for it, it’s a car looking for a market.

It is totally out of step with what’s going on with the world.

Porsche, the dinosaur SUV company is just as bad as JLR the dinosaur SUV company. Where is the drivetrain innovation we need?

I'm not sure I agree with that but I appreciate the frustration when the entire industry is shifting gears and developments are coming thick and fast.

For this Cayenne Coupe, I am the market. It's not out of step with the world. I think it's innovative and I want it.

They are giving innovative drivetrains with the e-hybrids, 918 and are working on all new electric 918 successor at the moment, planned for 2025.

The ridiculously bonkers fast Rimac is probably the place to look since Porsche is quite heavily involved with them now.

i have an open mind matey i am not in the SUV hate brigade. I can see their purpose in parts of the world.

what is innovative about this new Cayenne Coupe Turbo ?

keeping in mind that it’s still a two ton SUV belching out Co2.

What have Porsche done here which is new? I don’t see their place in UK City centres as being in keeping with the times?

Hybrid or all electric Porsche Coupe SUV, fine by me, seems less ‘Utility’ to me but ok....

we need to keep young people engaged with the Porsche brand, is this really what they want to see ? a rebadged Audi ?
