Should be ok, nobody will be running over potholes with them, they'll be more worried about their strut towers.

Nice to see the PH commentariat being their usual cheerful and positive selves about a naturally aspirated 6 cylinder rwd manual car. Makes you wonder why barely anybody makes these things anymore.

It's just a picture of what it looks like.

It looks like a Cayman.

Yes it does, and it's amazing that you can deduce the gearing and the integrity of the shock towers from a picture too.

I hope it doesn't have ridiculously long gearing like the last GT4?

I nearly bought a GT4 last month, but the thought of 82mph in second kind of put me off. Think I might wait for either a 991 GTS or Carrera T to hit similar prices then go for one of them instead.

The GT4 should hold it's value better though, and even go up again in years to come.
You do realize that you can change gear at any point you like?

TX.
Yes, but don't we all like hearing a sporty car being wrung out to the red line? And not just in first gear !

Didn't say there was anything wrong with them, like the last GT4, just that the owners might be worried.

Indeed.

Still, I’ll take two. ... Oh wait...

P.s. More rumors/whispers on the Touring Package of this GT4 iteration please.

Ridiculous profile tyres. Would look far better and ride better on 50/60 profiles..

Can Porsche go bankrupt please....

Really don't understand why they haven't already with their ultra dull and fugly product offering.
I think the problem is that they keep building cars their customers want to buy. The swines...

What is that front bumper all about, looks like a 'barry' special...

And fitted with grills to protect the radiators, that really will ps off people that have had warranty issues due to fitting grills to protect radiators.

Since the exterior just seems to be a different intake, some side vent covers etc.... why don't they just make the normal Caymen look like this? it's not like the normal one is a "slow" car as such. In my eyes it looks "ok". Less boring than the normal one.

If gearing didn't make a difference and it's the choice of the driver when to change, every manufacturer would offer the same ratios in every single car, van and truck in their range.

I hadn't realised the blanket hate of German cars extended to Porsche.

I also don't understand how it's 'too fast' in second gear. If you want a car that doesn't go very fast in second gear then get a 20 year old 1 litre car. It will also cost significantly less than a Porsche so its a win/win.

I think it looks bloody lovely, love the wheels, the styling, the lot.
Still looks a little too fussy at the rear but overall i really like it.

Much much prettier than the 911 Speedster.

I wonder how the prices of the previous gen GT4 will respond to the release of the new one? smile

Wasn't aware that GT models already had grills covering the radiators.

The car still looks like Barry styled the front end, not exactly what I would expect from Porsche design.

Oh yes, a lot of Porsche haters pop up when one of these articles appears in GG. You can guarantee that none of them have driven a GT4. And as far as the gearing goes, just enjoy it on the road in the middle of the range at legal speeds and rev it out on track days where it really comes into its own. That's what I do. smile
