Very nice, but three times the price of an F3 car which is surely its closest competitor?
How many F3 cars are road legal?
Or even allowed on track days. Don't most explicitly exclude open-wheelers?
Yes. I looked at buying an FRenault, FFord or F3 for a toy and this made me turn off to the idea.Competition/Test days are considerably more expensive and some require licenses. More hurdles I couldn't be bothered with.

Ducati V4 is 210bhp+ out of 1liter.
But you have to dress up like a mutant ninja turtle to ride one
That only applies to Kawasaki riders, the rest of us dress like Power Rangers.

You have to admire the engineering, the fit and finish and the aesthetic. But most of all, you have to admire how they have managed to sell more than a couple. I know there are people out there with so much money that the price becomes irrelevant, but this is a stupidly expensive thing which is neither road car nor race car. I remember driving past one at Silverstone (maybe he wasn't trying) in a 1979 Historic Tiga Sports 2000 car and then leaving him far behind (slicks, you see). I really don't see the attraction myself, but then, we all see things differently. Best of luck to them, even though it would seem they don't need it.

Looks stunning, love the writing on the alloy wheel rims too, great touch. Expect to see that on a lot of other cars soon!

Thanks for that revelation, Gordon Murray.

Attention PH - Can we stop the pointless attempts to one up each other in the knowledge stakes. It makes every thread a pissing contest. Correcting people when necessary is fine but needlessly seeking out comments to misinterpret them for the sake of a quick win is growing tiresome
Have you ever ridden a bike? How do you know they are '$h1tty?' Your comment calling for civility smacks of hypocrisy. Perhaps next time don't make needlessly divisive comments and try to be more substantive in your forum contributions

Expensive, ugly, totally impractical and ineligible for any form of racing... why not just buy a Ginetta instead? A bit more usable, with two seats and a boot, plus a one-make race series to participate in...

Ariel Atom V8 is not a bike engine.
Well it sort of is - the heads were lifted straight from the Hayabusa with minimal modification and consequently the block owed most of its dimensions to the 'busa as well. There's a few V8s constructed in similar ways and of course they are not bike engines in that the engine itself was never actually in a bike, but the design still owes an awful lot to the donor unit.

Fabulous unit either way.
Don’t the Turner designed Daimler V8s also owe a lot to bike engines?

And the original Vanwall F1 engines too!

I believe a favourite hot-rodder's trick back in the 60s and 70s was to put Triumph bike throttle bodies on the Daimler V8 and thereby make it really scream...

Why are all the idiots talking about racing it? The main point is it’s road legal.

Ugly? Really?

I love the shape of a traditional front engined coupe as much as the next man. But the first generation Mono was a work of art. One of the most beautiful pieces of machinery I’d ever seen. In the flesh I expect this will won’t be too far from that.

I think you’re comparing apples with avocado drizzled in extra-virgin olive oil.

What, the road legal Ginetta that has 135 Bhp and weighs 840kg?

You think that is comparible to this 345 Bhp car which weighs 555kg? 160 Bhp/tonne against 620 Bhp / tonne.

I think you’re missing the point of it really. The only remotely similar propositions I can think of are an LCC Rocket (out of production) or an Atom. And personally I think it’s a lovely looking thing.
