Wasn't Citroen doing 1 year of free insurance at the time, did it apply to the VTS?
No only the VTR. I believe the lesser models were sometimes offered with 2 years.
Was definitely offered on the Saxo VTS in 1999 as i remember being disappointed that i wasnt old enough for the VTS lol

Same as this.

Probably the only unmodified ST in a 100 mile radius.

Insurance isn't as bad as you might think.
20; Have yet to bin it - Looking at insurance prices on an FK8 in London it's in the region of £1,600 - Which actually doesn't seem that bad.

Wouldn't call that a 'hot hatch' really though?

Seat Leon FR 1.4TSi (150) - 0-60 in about 8.1s. Warm hatch? I'm 72.
I suspect way more than half of drivers have a car with less than 150hp.

I’m 48, and in my early to mid twenties had a string of somewhat tired warm and hot hatches, some of which I wish I still had... XR2, XR3i, 205GTi, RS1600i, Golf GTI (8v). Then followed a series of company cars, or cars that could have been but weren’t, but we’ve now got a MINI Cooper S (which would probably qualify if it wasn’t a Clubman and therefore not really a hatch!) and a BMW M235 convertible (again, if it was a 1 series it’d qualify too!)

Some people have a funny idea about what a hot hatch is.
