Living in Essex you see plenty of pretty poor plates. Fair share of BO55 ones, horrifically spaced ones etc but today was one of the worst.

MR5 5EEX on a black Ford Kuga. And let me tell you, the lady driving was not a sight for fresh eyes. Gross overconfidence or a very Essex present from the partner. Both equally likely in this county.

Indeed you do. yes

But what else to expect from Essex Chavs and celebrity worshiping TOWIE wannabees all frantically aspiring to impress with faked status symbols and either entirely ignorant of the legal requirements for number plates or sufficiently arrogant enough to assume the legal requirements for number plates don't apply to them?

Seller says.

"A rare chance to acquire a totally unique number plate for your treasured Ferrari... ad provenance and value to your prized possession with this wonderful plate FF12ARY is as close as you will get to spelling FERRARI … What better way to state that you have 'Made it' and want to show the world what you drive" .

And he's asking five grand for it...

I’d have thought the ‘Ferrari’ badges on the car might ‘show the world what you drive’, if you really are the sort of person who buys a car to ‘show off’ to total strangers.

Yes, when a shouty red, low slung sports car that makes a racket isnt quite enough.

There was someone in the centre of Wilmslow in one, might have been a TDF, that shape rather than the 488 sort of thing, though not sure but the normal noise it made wasnt enough so they were blipping it, very loudly and it made people jump, I heard one chap exclaim "dhead".

Less is more sometimes.

Oh Jeeeeezus there's more... But this one has the magical power of doubling the value of your BMW.

"A truly wonderful opportunity to invest in an Unique number plate for your prized BMW , Perfect for M1 M2 M3 M4 M5 M6 owners … Double the value of your BMW with its own unique number plate L111BEM -- your 'LITTLE BE M'or your LITTLE B EM how you have it shown is up to you …. But no one else will have this wonderful plate on their BMW On Retention"

And no one else will have the same plate? You sure? That's a snip at four grand then.

Just in case owning a value enhanced BMW doesn't get you laid straight away then you can resort to...

"Fun number plate for immediate transfer, just put on retention certificate P330RNO, looks like PORN, PORNO".

Satisfaction guaranteed at £875...

Sadly no photo, but I passed "20 0H NO" as spaced on a Civic this morning.

It was dark so I was struggling to see how a cheap plate had been butchered, but it turns out to actually be quite a good 123 XXX plate just badly spaced. wobble

Not that dirty, yes the rest immaculate! (Nice garden by the way, assuming I have cottoned on correctly).

Courtesy of Fast Ford mag this month - M6 NTC on an Escort Cosworth Monte Ltd Edition.

Retro '90's modified plate with bold & itallic font and the letters / numbers all squared off. Middle part of the now square 6 had been pushed to the top to make it look more like an O whilst a printed black line & black fixing cap took care of the C being turned into a makeshift E.

All for an attempt at "MONTE".
