Even with the help of re-spacing it for the second plate, I still don’t get this?

Two plates though !?

whilst not in the same realm of crappiness as some on here I was walking down quite a posh part of Worthing yesterday (yes, there is such a part) and literally every second car had a very cheap Letter 1/2 numbers then Initials

L18 ABC , N4 KJC etc etc

Just looked utterly tacky

How do people get these through an MOT? Serious question. Are garages happy to overlook them or are MOT rules more lenient than the police?

I really don't believe all people are swapping them on the morning of their MOT with some legit plates they keep for that 1 day of the year
Why not? They're £20 and take 5 mins to swap over.
A place where I have been in the past - if they know you - just passes them. As he said “the misspaced ones will just get refitted ten minutes later”.

I’ve never known a non-main dealer motorbike mot place bother about small plates. I really wish they’d change the law on bike plate size - they look hideous if full sized.

Would have been decent perhaps if not butchered with slightly curved numbers and then 4d gel plates to properly sink it to crappy.

My first ever MoT fail on the ZRX was due to the lettering on the numberplate being a little too small, and that was from a very small workshop in Aldershot.
