I saw it in Newbury this evening.
To be fair, that's pretty funny (the plate, not the story)
You had to be there.

Chap by us had an L14M based plate taken from him, I'm sure he had three police based fines and having to get proof he'd changed it. He promptly put the plate back on each time afterwards. Then a letter from DVLA after a boxed junction fine saying change it or loose it. He didn't, few months later got a letter saying that the registration number is being withdrawn and that the original will be reassigned. I can't recall what the ref code was on the letter.

He tried to fight it, didn't get anywhere. It was taken and is not available to buy.

Had a ZTT 190 for 7 months and 7k miles now. What a hoot - nothing FWD this big and heavy from 20 years ago should be able to go round corners as well as it does. Hilarious fun. Best gear is 5th though, from 20-"70" effortlessly.

That's the one, still empty after a year, the nearby empty Barclays may be converted into luxury flats subject to planning and the other 2 closed banks have found new tenants plus the new Spoons is nearly finished and due to open early January beer

I use the Penn road fairly frequently so know the area reasonably well. Is the Spoons going where Jungs was or around the corner by Sainsbury's where Revolution was?

The new Spoons is between M&S and Bovingdons the estate agent who moved there recently from opposite Pryme steakhouse and the Revolution pub which will probably be converted to resi flats and retail units.

It's a 100 year old listed building and the first silent movie shown was Mare Nostrum and the final film in 1989, last tenants were Prezzo iirc.

Good one on the latest Carwow drag race.

Something like WE19PON with the 1 and 9 mashed together.

Slightly ironically on the slowest car.

Noticed that too, looked tragic.

Imagine paying £200k for a car and having exhausts look like they came off a bus.
