Ive never had a personal plate and never will, they seem to be a waste of money.
But I have no issue with other people having one if its legal. I dont get the anger that some have for them. I certainly don't start jumping to conclusions as to why they have them.
I only bought a private plate after some scrote stole mine, so I put the cheapest plate I could find. Nothing spaced wrong, or chavvy. The ones with screws changing letters or 5's made to look like 'S' are gash...But I have no issue with other people having one if its legal. I dont get the anger that some have for them. Standard advice on PH is to buy a cheap DVLA plate, to avoid getting more tickets through the post.
You can adopt the same ticket avoiding strategy if you're reasonably entitled to do what the fkuck you like by simply standing beside your car waiting for the existing front plate to just fall off as they so often do and carefully placing it on the dash behind the nearside wiper where it can't clearly be read and of course if you're completely entitled to do what the fkuck you like then lift the anti ticketing strategy to the next level by not even bothering to have a front plate at all...
Seems to be the thing to do round here.
