The 0-60 time may be down to an additional gearchange

It apparently tops out at 135mph. Whether that's gearing limited or electronically is another question entirely.
Yes, you might be right in which case the gearing could be spot- on.

I think they look great but if memory serves, they're pricey.
The last few seconds of that video had me smiling. Sounds and looks pretty damn good!

Lovely looking thing. Most of these low-volume sports cars suffers from at least one gopping design feature (borne of compromise) or angle, this looks well-resolved in practically every way.

The fact that the are able to sell it for $55k is even more amazing though. Makes stuff like the rebooted TVR look a bit ridiculous.
It's actually around $100k though thats with the full options. Here's an interview with one of their reps. Still a very nicely designed car and i think it's worth it especially being limited in production.

I’d love to see a real review of this.

Tip-top version for me please.

If it’s $100k with options that make it driveable apart from a quick blat, I’m Dubious (see what I did there)

I quite like the look of this.
If they can get anywhere near that weight & price point i'd be very interested in one.

Any ideas as to how this thing will become street legal ? Does it have type approval ?

This looks like the car Caterham should have built when they produced the 21. I suspect they could have achieved a lower overall weight and delivered similar performance with a smaller power unit. Allowing for low volume type approval they could probably have achieved a competitive price as well.

Missed opportunities !

I love that. Can't believe it will be well made and have any engineering integrity whatsoever at MSRP of $55k though. Hope I'm wrong.

Be interested to see the price and if it will be available in RHD and auto.
Jesus Christ. Think the whole point on a car like that is to be involved with it. Drive it. Interact with it.

Want to steer and use one foot, go buy an F-Type.
Just because auto/semi auto doesn't mean someone can't drive and enjoy it ffs.
Goofy nerdy types come out with comments like this along with 'making progress' and the worst geeky/beardy one 'toe and heel'
An auto box makes for an easy drive not having to stir a box of cogs continually..
Ps... Jesus Christ!

I, too, saw that request for an auto box, and, at first, I caught myself raising a furrowed brow.

But then I thought: Hey, what if this guy, and others like him, are physically handicapped in one way or another, such that an auto makes things easier / possible?

Could also be a mere personal preference or a quick windup. smile

I'm so glad that this exists, wishing them all the best and I really hope they find a market.

I'm not a fan of V6s, and I can't quite make my peace with that front end styling (though the rear is fabulous), but I'd have one of these in a heartbeat given the chance.

If you use only one foot in an auto, you're missing out on a whole load of fun. smile

Interesting looking - would like to see one in the flesh as photo’s can be unflattering but the performance seems lower than expected given the apparent lack of weight and 330 horses from a v6.
The only mention of performance seems to be sub-4 seconds 0-60mph? Seems quick enough to me (and also never the best indicator of how a car will be to actually drive IMH).
I'm guessing a manual gearbox and limited traction might not flatter the figures. I'm also guessing that it will feel rather quicker on the roads...

It will be similar to an Evora in terms of engine placement.

I hope they do a self driving one like Tesla, that would be the business.
Looks like a Dutton, BTW.
