Agreed...as a car enthusiast, I’m not even slightly optimistic about the future.

I think this is an example of a terrified tuning industry frantically trying to justify its existence in the electric era.

While ICE tuners do have cause to be worried (though I think IC engines are going to be around for a long time yet), I'm not sure the EV is there issue. I think tightening emissions legislation is eventually going to see much tighter restrictions on engine modifications. We're already seeing a bit of push back against the removal of DPFs etc. It wouldn't surprise me if we get to a point where engine tuning of any kind is banned outside of OEM options. That being said, it's a big industry to kill, so it's a balance between pleasing the anti-car folk and not putting people out of work.

Aside from engine tuning, there will always be people out there that want to make styling changes to their cars, so I don't think body kit manufacturers have much to worry about for the foreseeable future.

How long before someone offers an option to rip dying batteries out of Teslas, put in a new steel floor and power it with a Yank crate V8?
Why would you want to make it slower less efficient?

Why waste the effort on such an uninteresting blob. Plenty of decent ICE cars available as it is smile

Bland as a bland thing. Looks like a £15K Korean white good, but no doubt with considerably less quality.

Yes and yes. I'd like to take a Tesla with a dying battery and make it lighter and louder. Its principal purpose would be to troll everyone and cause as much shock, dismay and offence to all as possible. Doesn't really matter if it ends up being slower than the BEV off the line, above 100 it would just be getting into its stride where the BEV tails off...

Let’s face it the future is rapidly coming and becoming the reality now. For mundane driving which accounts for a high proportion of my time behind the wheel these days, this is fine for me.

Given that a P3 will do 0-100 in the 8's , good luck!

I don't think the wheel design is too bad getmecoat Although the design purpose is totally marketing BS isn't it? With elec regen taking care of most of the slowing down process the brakes will never need cooling.

I spotted a Tesla in ‘youth’ matte grey with lime green stripes on either side.

Got to admire it. Not sure if it was a business brand. Very, erm, different smile

White good that is all it is. Don’t get me wrong I’m sure these things are excellent at what they do but they are no different to the latest I phone or television. I feel sad for the future of motoring (and scared, very very scared)

Think I would be looking towards Mountain Pass Performance, their approach seem more in the PH spirit.
