Fantastic story! I remember reading about this car in my teens and the common wisdom was that it was lost forever! I recall it was inspired by or a partner of the Embiricos Bentley that was at Goodwood Members Meeting.
This one doesn't have it so why does the maroon one have the flying B and the winged B just inches apart on the nose?

I’d guess it’s because the Embiricos car was a private project but the Corniche was an official factory car so had the same badging (Flying B and Radiator badge) as other Derby Bentleys.

The front strikes me as very America
Those art deco 'teardrop' lights being reminiscent of those fitted to a 1939 Ford.

I didn't appreciate that others would have both. Seems a bit over the top, taste wise.

On other cars the radiator badge is on the chrome radiator so doesn't stand out.

Fantastic job done by all those involved and great to see a lost car recreated, But it’s stretching it a bit to call it a restoration, GRA 270 has not been restored. Should it not be on a Q plate?
