The looks may be a bit bland but the GT has a good reputation.

Nissan still makes some interesting cars in the GT-R and 370Z but its regular cars are rather uninspired. For me, the Leaf is probably the most interesting in the current range (excluding the GT-R/370Z) which is a rather a sad state of affairs! I'd take this GT over a Qashqai anyday!

I think that the change to vehicle tax bands last year dropped the 370Z tax from £555 to £145 but I'm not sure how well it's selling.

I remember having one of these for a couple weeks as a test car when I was choosing a new company car back in the the 90's.
A colleague had one and always raved about it so thought I should give it a go. He was right and it was way better than my expectation especially compared to similar spec Vectra and Mondeo rep mobiles of the time. It just did everything well.
I didn't order one though as for me it just doesn't have any 'desirability'. Could be badge snobbery but even then it had more than a whiff of mini-cab about it - I think they came with Magic Tree as standard!
Good car though and worth saving.

Always quite liked these for some strange reason.. Bargain shedding and a laugh too.

I don't mean this in a bad way, but it almost feels as though the vendor has deliberately aimed for SOTW: a car that divides opinion, is good to drive, trackday worthy, a detailed ad with good pics and affordable.

I'd buy in a heartbeat if I had space / need for another car. Looks like a riot on track, and 90's velour seats too!

The 370Z GT is pretty much £35k brand new...so I can't see many people wanting to throw that money at a car that has been around for 10 years now(I'm a big fan though don't get me wrong and I have a 2011 model).

I think that punters will go elsewhere for that kind of money, but I do applaud Nissan for sticking with it for so long and it is something a little different in todays market(offering old school traits). I also hope that they make another generation of it eventually too.

A friend of mine bought one of these as a shed and had it for quite a while without any issues until it was stolen. He only ever buys sheds and he was particularly disappointed to lose this one because it had probably been his most reliable car ever.

I had 3 Primera SLXs in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The first mine and then 2 company cars. My colleagues all had Mondeos & Vectras. After driving 'my' Primera all agreed it was a superior car - better driving position, seat adjustment & handling. My last one was a run-out model with half-leather seats & 6 CD changer in the boot. The seats were particularly good for a non-sporting model with separate height adjustment for the front of the squab. The last one had 130hp and could have definitely handled more.

If I needed a new car (and I might in a couple of weeks) then I would be well up for this. Always fancied a Primera GT.

These Primeras drive really nicely, though I always felt they let them down a bit with the power.

They had the SR20DET in a transverse setup already, for the Sunny, if they'd put that in to give it a bit more poke it really would have been a great all-rounder.

Agree and I really liked that engine in my 200sx and it was so easily tuned as well. The Sunny was a real flying machine too with a bit of gentle fettling! driving

Enjoyed that! thumbup It also helped to remove some of my prejudice with FWD. I've always preferred RWD or 4WD but that looked like great fun! driving

We had loads of these at TWR as company cars when we were running the Le Mans project in 97 & 98. The ones that were thrashed from new were properly fast for the time. Top shed.

Big fan!

My step dad had 4

P10 eGT in white - Hatch
P10 eZX in Black - Hatch
P11 GT
P10 Egt in green - Hatch

I also knew of a guy who had turbo'd a red P11. I think he might have been on the SXOC.

Pretty bland to look at, but had amazing handling, somehow. I have always kept a look out for another white P10 to buy my step dad but sadly they have pretty much disappeared

Do you remember the Skymera as well?

I believe that Primera GTs had the SR20DE engine; the 'T' means turbo, and these were found in 200SXs etc

Not sure if it's the same car as in the you tube vid but a gent brings an old spice primera to the jap shows. He took it round Donington last month and it didn't hang about. Parks it on his own with his own mini pit with wheels and all sorts...fair play fella

Yes - good video. I bet the front tyres don't last long though. Cadwell Park looks like an entertaining circuit - I've never seen a lap round it before.

I bought one of these as first car as friends told me they were rock solid mechanically and for my tiny budget would be a good bet for hot hatch fun without it falling to bits.

However, I managed to buy one from a CU Next Tuesday and he'd faked the history, put newer leather seats from another car and generally covered in sticking plasters. And i was too green to see it and purchased it in cash. Engine died within a week.

I took him to court but he moved house and disappeared after I won a claim against him.

Not happy memories with this car.

Bought a Civic VTI after, should have done that in the first place. That WAS rock solid.
