That does look like a cracking car for £1.5k - it manages to do the look old without being dated.

It does seem a bit slow though, when compared to say, a 330 of similar vintage....

Great shed! Slightly biased though.

Mines an auto and I may be turning into an old git but I think it's a great 'box. Super smooth and blinds the 8 speed ZF that everybody wks over that was in the XC60 I had previously. The interior is a great place to be with the big sunroof and cream leather. It feels amazingly well screwed together, again much better than the previous XC60. They really get under your skin. The only blot is the pretty brutal fuel consumption which varies from 21 to 28 depending on journey distance.
If it was an XC60 from 2014 onwards, it wasn't the ZF 8 speed, but an Aisin one. HTH.

Had a Spec B tourer for a few years. 50k to 120k. Needed a couple of wheel bearings and a starter motor. And a new aux belt because I forgot to change it at 100k miles. Superb car.

Terrible mpg so I lpg'ed it.

Used to be a bit tricky to start hot on the lpg, which is why the starter packed up.

I did have a towbar fitted and towed heavy trailers from UK to France too often. That is what did the wheel bearings in. Easy fix, not too expensive.

Superb build quality too. Precision engineering everywhere.

That car is why I now have a brand new Outback...

(anyone know who designed the facelift on this btw? Still a cracking looking car imho)

I happen to have bought a silver spec b wagon about 4 years ago. Best shed yet...
Was about twice the price, but with 60k on the clock still a good buy..

Yup - the ZF 8HP only appears in cars with longitudinal engines.

It's never been installed in any Volvo.

Uploading to YouTube his latest "driving adventure", possibly with German car involvement.

Yes, he's probably working out how much more standard equipment it had and then deciding how best to convince the world that a 250 bhp Subaru with an Auto box would annihilate a manual BMW with 258 PS on a drag-strip. rolleyes

Happy days! laugh

If it's lacking estateness just buy the Spec B estate which isn't really any slower. I did, it was absolutely epic but too good a car for me so it was replaced by a less reliable but cooler BG5 GTB.
The spec B manuals were the fastest accelerating car in their class btw, unreal grip too, treat yourself!

I had to look them up and came across a Hub Nut review:

Really interesting things these, a lot of really unconventional features. Topped IMO by it being one of the not so many cars that Öhlins offer one of their Road&Track sets for. That seems like a really weird and wonderful decision on their part...
