With less power than the Ford approved Mountune Fiesta ST or ST200.
But a limited-slip diff, adjustable dampers, lighter wheels and a much, much, much better interior. I would wager that this car would be faster round a track than a Mountune MK7.s m said:
The one that made me double-take was the £45k 320d auto - a few options admittedly but you see loads floating about on the roads
The new 320d auto even in high spec M Sport is under £33k after discount so that's £10k less than thaT even if you had £2k of gadgets (base price list is £38k).The £45k is one of those absurd "as tested" press spec car and of little relevance.
To go back OT, unless it's heavily discounted, this is exactly the price of a discounted Megane RS 280 Cup...

You can buy one with four doors and a diff. Does it matter how many cylinders it has?
I know people bleat on about not comparing new/used.But I might buy new or nearly new, or old and used. I always have done.
I’m not paying top notch money for a cheap 3 cylinder turbo.
The small capacity 4 cylinder turbo was acceptable, but losing a cylinder and capacity just reeks of cheapness to me.

You don't think a slipper, KW's and light wheels can be fitted to a MK7?
You could, but that would be a modified, used car, not a warrantied, new one.Mr Whippy said:

What's cheap about it? Engine development moves on. Manufacturers are looking to cut emissions and make cars cleaner. The three-pot helps with that aim. 25 years ago, to have a 200bhp engine would have required six cylinders or a 2.0-litre turbo four-pot. It's called progress. But I might buy new or nearly new, or old and used. I always have done.

It's the way all engines are going though - the current crop of three cylinder engines are pretty good little things. The three cylinder in my other half's MINI was a much nicer, more interesting engine that the four cylinder ones from previous cars. But I might buy new or nearly new, or old and used. I always have done.

I've not driven the Ford three cylinder, but people seem to rave about it.

For £15k less.
Which is totally irrelevant if someone is looking to buy a new car. And you'd better hope people keep doing that because, if they don't, you won't be able to have your modified MK7.One day, people will realise that comparing new and old is largely pointless.

I bought a brand new car, and I don't have a modified MK7. Are you going to buy a new Fiesta with some bling for £26k?
I'm not, because I'm not in the market for a new car right now. I'm sure there are people out there that would though.blade7 said:
