I’m on the verge of doing a book. It is half done, just weighing up if it is worth doing/if there might be enough interest. smile

Will avidly read your blog over the next few days. Dodesn't cost as much as I was expecting and would really make the trip. Incredible.

Thanks for posting.

I'd buy it. I love reading stuff like that (enjoyed reading the website - think I would have panicked at the fuel leak stage eek ), especially with great pictures as well.

Do it biggrin

Thanks. I'm very close to it. Will have a lot more images in it than the blog, route maps etc.

Amazing story and photos thanks for sharing. Couldn’t imagine a more appropriate car to do the trip in, correct blend of classic, beauty and some comforts.

Love the binded itinerary sitting on the drivers seat. Planning trips like this is a lot of fun

Great photos and sounds like a great trip.

Did you have any police stop! camera - action moments? (what with the fancy foreign car and foreign number plates?)!

I suspect he means the US police not recognising the plate...

Your suspicion overlooks that he separately mentions the foreign plate.

Already answered further up the thread:

Photos were all taken on Leica Q with a fixed 28mm F1.7 Summilux lens

Great story! Nice to know the details of a trip like this (spare number plates!)

I think I snapped your sister 4wd car in a visit the other way from sunny US to lowly SE London

Great blog, with lots of really useful information.

I've had similar experiences taking my 110 to Oz & NZ. As the Americas on my 'to-do' list, I'll be bookmarking for future reference. wink

I saw a Citroen 2CV with French plates in Vancouver last week - brave! Especially if he came from St John's.

It’s amazing how everyone is different. As a huge fan of US road trips, you’ve gone to an awful lot of places that don’t interest me at all smile

1 day in Colorado? Shocking! Missing out Pikes Peak in your 993?! Although you can’t quite get to the top at the moment anyway due to construction I suppose.

Great story and ‘awesome’ pics though.

Its great to see someone stepping outside the slightly cliched US road trip, sure Route 66 is great, but the rest of Arizona is amazing!
Did you get to Utah? I hate to say i think its more dramatic than Arizona.
Next time you pass through Arizona, let me know, I would love to buy you a beer and hear about the trip.
We could have a "right hand drive cars on UK plates in Arizona" party - but it would probably be quite a small party...

I’ve just finished reading through your blog - wow what a journey and life experience in your trusty 911. Hopefully this isn’t your last exploration and look forward to following your travels in the future OP.

A variation on this, one of my life goals: Fly over to USA, buy my dream car out there (Cobra), take it to Laguna Seca, then drive it all the way back across the States. Then ship it home.
