Not actually that nice to look at in that spec/colour combo.

Will now just be passed around like some alternative currency, up there with paintings, wine, watches, diamonds and all that other stuff that is essentially only really worth anything as there arent many of them and the very wealthy acquire them as investments or they have run out of other stuff to buy.

Its just a Porsche 911 that a bit lighter, and a bit faster but like has been said, will probably never get driven. I hope someone buys it and uses it as designed, rather than just being a rare automotive pokemon stored in an air conditioned garage for eternity.

That RSR in your second link is just incredible, and without a doubt my ultimate Porsche. Remarkable stuff.
It certainly has a remarkable interior!!
I had to check it out and now..... !!?! That interior is shocking. I didn't know they could even make interiors that looked that bright in colour. Or maybe it was a fresh arterial bleed. One of the two.
Garish, I grant you. Yet oddly I think it works with the exterior colour. Just.

8 in RHD I thought? A friend had one a few years ago, one of the first cars I went round the Ring in, fantastic things - Faldo did have one (with a dodgy tri-colour wheel). I think the one I know was up at JZM a while back for 450k.

Any more info on this collection? Thanks
No, I just saw them once, c.15 years ago, in a lockup garage in Jersey where someone was trying to rent me a storage space. I think the fourth one was also white or silver, again with the strange purple split rim alloys.

Never you mind

A nice drive to the ring I think on it's first day out and about biggrin

What a shame that such cars have never been driven. Don't understand it myself but each to their own.

There is a 3.6 Turbo S for sale here - https://www.gtclassics.co.uk/porsche-964-turbo-s-f...
Only £600k, also with an odd interior colour scheme.

I would have to be one very rich person to consider buying this. I quite like it as it happens but at 1.7 million I'd only go for it if I could afford the similarly priced Singer DSL at the same time, if not then that would definitely be getting the nod.

Pathetic isn't it. Look at the mileages on cars like the Carerra GT in the ad section. 3k miles in 13 years some of them. Did the owner just sit there wking over it?

I also had to laugh at the price of the 997 4.0 RS. Half a mil most of them barely used.
Bang on the money and made me chuckle.

If I had the money I'd buy that and run it with a shed mentality until it fell apart.

Are those 3.6 Turbo S as special as the earlier 3.3 version? My understanding was that, despite the flat-nose option and limited numbers, they weren’t as stripped out as the 3.3 version, and actually weren’t any more powerful

I’ve always viewed the 3.3 Turbo S as being as close to a 964 RS with a turbo as Porsche ever made back then

One of these for the summer with a C4 Lightweight for the winter and I’d be a happy camper biggrin
