Are they going to sort out the dynamics this time? Probably not but as seen on this thread, the average RS buyer doesn't seem to care about such things.
Has to be an E63 for me.
What do you mean? What's wrong with it, dynamically?Has to be an E63 for me.

Bugger all as far as I'm concerned. Goes like a bat out of hell, handles well especially given its weight and puts a smile on my face every time I go for a drive. It's 4wd so no rear out fun bit then I never do that on the roads anyway.
What kind of person considers buying one of these for drifting? We had a weekend up in the highlands a few years back in a regular A6 estate and it was great. 2 kids, lots of stuff in the back, comfortable and quick. I can only imagine, for now, how much fun this would be.

Let's see what our Audi engineer/marketing friends manage but they usually lack the ability to make an engaging driver's car. Lots of power, plenty of grip but little else of value.
I may be proven wrong this time but based on prior experience, probably not.

Depends what you are into. I need all my cars to steer properly and ideally have a rear power bias to be fun on road.

Good point, you should call the chief Audi engineers and tell them the proper way to do it. Let's see what our Audi engineer/marketing friends manage but they usually lack the ability to make an engaging driver's car. Lots of power, plenty of grip but little else of value.

I’m sure it does exactly what the Audi designers wanted it to do, but I’ll still pass thanks.
Daily commute for some folk on here apparentlyAnd Audi's engineers seem quote an incapable bunch so no point in calling them.
Or they know their type of buyers of course...;)

Generally nothing wrong with the dynamics, and this oft-quoted lack of steering finesse is very much overstated. Modern BMWs (as in last 20years) are hardly a paragon of steering excellence either. It’s been a long time since the E30, which had proper steering feelHas to be an E63 for me.
One thing I will say is that fast Audis are generally less fidgety at big speeds (north of 150mph) IME. And that’s kind of what they’re built for, which may or may not be your bag. It doesn’t however mean they got the dynamics wrong though IMO
I don’t know why people go on about these types of cars like they should handle on par with a caterham, it’s a large estate for lugging families and luggage about daily, but also has a big engine, bonus!
‘It’s pointless might as well get an A6 TDI’ why? That whole point is that the RS6 can do all the same as the A6 but have a monster engine the only reason to choose the A6 would be cost I don’t see how people see a lovely great V8 under the bonnet as a downside...

Agreed. Apparently Audi engineers are a little incompetent, that's thread numberwang.

Stop making sense, you are in the wrong thread. ‘It’s pointless might as well get an A6 TDI’ why? The C7 does some kind of weird torque steer type sensation when you nail it in a straight line, weaves about. I find this surprising but it's definately there on my fathers car and also he says on the car he had as a demo.
Also hate the Carbon Ceramic Brakes for feel and modulation, steering also so so. A big but mightily impressive bus.
Not sure about the looks of this new one but i'm sure it'll be impressive, personally would lean towards the E63 though

Can always count on the driving God that is Sideways Si to appear on any RS audi thread and whine about 'driving dynamics'...this makes an E63 look bland as fook...red with black pack as above oh my...
Well if it looks good...As I said, they have nailed their buyer. Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
