Not testable. If it has sharp edges it may be looked at a bit closer but as before, we don't do construction and use, we test to a minimum standard.
So not testable means you won't test it?

He's got nothing to test it against.

Sorry I wasn't clear. Does that mean he won't test the car at all or he'll ignore the tow eye?

Cars after September 2009 are tested if they are fitted, Minor fail (which will generate a pass) unless the car is fitted with LED or HID headlamps in which case it is a major fail.

Edit to add they will minor or major if they do not work....smile

Sun strips on the top of windscreens , yay or nay ? My van is a bd for blinding sun coming in between the massive gap in between drivers and Pass sun visors. I was thinking of getting some body coloured vinyl and adding say a 3” deep strip across the top of the screen (if it doesn’t look to naff !!)

My last 2 cars have had sunstrips and never a problem. They don't tend to go below the mirror though.

I could imagine if it was half of the windscreen it might be an issue.........

Unless it is huge it will generate an advise if it is the swept area,it used to be a fail but the text has been clarified so unless the view of the road is materially affected then it will be ok.

Is there anything special in testing 6x6 vehicles?

Very probably too heavy for us or class 7 which I don't do so hopefully someone else will answer, however I would have thought they would be fine apart from brake testing which I assume would be done via decelerometer.

I thought the brake rollers could test each axle individually?

They can but I think a twin rear axle set up would place them too close together and they would not rest down in the rollers correctly. , I have never tried though..

This^^ We test some twin rear axle recovery trucks and motor homes and the rear axles barely touch the brake rollers. We have to do a decelerometer test.

I just had my little VW Up! in for an MOT yesterday, passed but one advisory is as follows -

•Nearside Rear Child Seat fitted not allowing full inspection of adult belt ()

I don't have a child....or a child seat. Any ideas? something to do with seatbelts? No idea!

Track car question - my Clio has no interior trim, fixed bucket seats, no airbags, 5 point harnesses. Mechanically it’s fine as it still has the original engine/exhaust and emissions are all good but will the interior mods cause issues? If so, how do I ensure that it will pass in its current state?

I doubt it will pass if you’ve removed the airbags. Not sure tbh

I've only had that when I have had a childseat fitted. Sounds like a mistake to me.
