Damn. I was hoping the release of the new 4 Series would drive prices of the old one down a little so I can get into a 440i GC in the New Year. From the looks of that, prices of the old ones will be going up.

So much of it looks good, until you get to that grille. Seriously BMW, knock it off will you?

I posted the supposed leaked image of that front on the new M3 thread a while back with it having this grille, and I think a couple of people said that BMW would never do that in a million years....

Actually ... it doesn't look THAT bad. Coming form someone who hates the actual big grills.
Sure the front pic at knee-high makes it look ridiculous but I have to say that this is not a dull design at all.
With a black grill and seen from a higher viewpoint I think it'll look really good and like no other car.

Gawd 'elp us !! Only it's mother could love it with that awful grille.....and that's doubtful. BMW needs to wake up and smell the coffee. Remember the old adage "You can fool some of the people some of the time etc, etc" Message to the BMW management and designers.....that time has well and truly passed !

I can’t decide if they’ve completely lost their way from a design / styling point or if there’s a bet really really high up to see far they can push the massive grilles and still sell cars.

Don't worry.

They've got some new models coming out shortly and they're worried they might have overdone it on the grill size.
