Grille looks the very definition of comedy piss-take, rest looks good! Hope they aren't being serious, but why stick that st on a concept at all?

All that time, work and money to design and build a concept, only to completely wreck it and create the single discussion point of that monstrosity of a grille! What a waste.

I think once a UK numberplate gets put over the bottom half of it it won't look quite so bad. Quite so bad being a key point there....

I doubt BMW will be shocked by the viral reaction to the grill. I reckon it was a part of the plan

That grill. LOL.

The rear side window is very reminiscent of an Audi A5.

Surprisingly nice, and different from a 3-series, even if the production version is watered down. More mini-8 than coupe-3.

Grill will likely be smaller/less prominent in production variants, even if just to accommodate number plate....

...and they are all at the large grill game:

Plus, the Bavarians are only going back to their roots:

Doesn't look that way to my eyes, doesn't sweep forward on the lower section like it used to.

I'm trying to focus on something other than the grille.

Just had a thought, if this is what the front end is going to look like, what was with the version that was spied in camouflage not long ago? It looks so different!

Is it me or am I missing something ? I thought aerodynamics helped fuel consumption and good dynamics were about a wind cheating shape and slim pointy noses that penetrate the air not smash it to pieces and create an air dam.. its like trying to argue that Billy Bunter would only make the same amount of splash as twiggy if you swapped air for water....I dont get it ??

I'm willing to bet this is what the I4 is going to look like and the 4 series will look much more reserved.

It was this comment from the write up that threw me off.. " it can’t be far off, though; don’t forget, either, that BMWs tend to stick closely to the styling of concepts, so best get used to that grille…"
