Further salient details include a peak of 1,106lb ft (albeit limited to 885lb ft to prevent the nine-speed gearbox from capitulation), 0-62mph in 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 174mph.
This torque-limiting seems quite common on uber-powerful cars. I'm familiar with the practice of limiting torque in the low gears to help traction and avoid lunching the final drive components, but to me this reads like they've built an engine that can twist at 1100 lb-ft but never does in any gear. Seems a hollow boast to have performance stats that have been excluded in software. This isn't new either, I think the original AMG S65 had a gearbox-saving torque limit too.Have I misunderstood?
This deplorable, dinosaur of a thing has absolutely no place in todays modern society. The quicker these disgusting behemoths are finally scrapped (preferably - recycled), the better - for the sake of our planet and our children!!
(I'll have mine in all black please without any of the carbon fluff thanks - I prefer the look of a 'thug in Savile Row suit look instead of the shoulder pads and double buttons!)

The V12 sounds fantastically absurd, the car leaves me cold though.
