RE: Aston Martin Vantage Roadster due next spring

The biggest concern if I was Aston would be that they aren't class leading in any aspect!
Aston always used to come up trumps in style and image. A certain X factor that stopped car parks and kind of made you forgive a lot of other stuff. They seem to have lost it which leaves you with not the best to drive, not the best interior or tech which leaves what?

A good point. I remember attending an imeche lecture in the noughties and someone asked what is aston’s Signature Technology? The Aston Martin speaker was stumped, highlighting at the time their reliance on good looks, which are of course highly subjective.Aston always used to come up trumps in style and image. How can they go form the old V8 Vantage / V12 Vantage to this?
The old V8 is a what an AM should be, cool, stylish and achingly pretty, the V12 was its big brother on steroids, a real old school muscle car in a modern body.
I was thinking about an upgrade of my current Vantage, i think i will stick to the old model or a Vanquish, this is UGLY.

For the sake of variety, if nothing else - the Coupe I spent some time in a few months ago, in Divine Red, to my eyes, was a fantastic looking thing. Of course it's since been called chavvy, an MX-5 replica, an F-Type replica, and so on...
Fortunately freedom of choice has yet to be outlawed. It drove brilliantly, it sounded excellent, it was easy to live with, it was quick, it was well built, it felt special and it got more appreciative looks than my Vanquish.

I had the original Vantage in both Coupe and Roadster flavours. I think the same can be said with this latest version too; the Coupe looks proportionally sensational, the roadster with the roof down is elegant and purposeful but put that roof up and its horrid!
Only one thing for it, stick on an extra jumper and strap that roof down no matter the weather - miles of aural smiles.....

I must say this one looks quite nice. Lovely colour. Also the fact that the massive grille and rear diffuser are not really visible on the picture helps. But indeed this looks lovely.Fortunately freedom of choice has yet to be outlawed.
