Should be fairly easy to find the Civic driver assuming it's on genuine plates.
Freeze-framing the video at the right point clearly shows the reg to be DE58 YVR.
Interesting you've quite easily got this when the biker who posted it said "...unfortunately, because it was dark, the licence plate of this potential murderer was not quite visible". Freeze-framing the video at the right point clearly shows the reg to be DE58 YVR.
I'm not on facebook and I can only see the video. Have people commented on it there? Be interested what people have said...
As a biker, I have no idea why anyone would ride in the right hand lane in the wet with train/tram lines.. very odd.
Says to me that the biker isn't the brightest..
Getting into pointless scraps with s***ty little cars confims it..
Another idiot (hopefully) taken off the road - and hopefully the car driver will soon be too.
Not saying he deserved it, but any bikers number 1 rule should always be self preservation, right?

I feel like *some* bikers get some really strange superiority complex when on a bike. I had an incident when I was waiting at lights and I set off just before they went to green (literally less than a second) because I saw the other traffic stopped. When I came up to the next lights the biker went in front of me and then shook his head at me and pointed at the lights. (I didn't go through a red the lights were green when I crossed over the line) I ignored him and as I was pulling onto the motorway the biker slowed right down on the slip road so I went past him as the slip road was 2 lanes and then the bike was right on my arse giving it large. Never known someone to get so uptight about something so petty and then drive so dangerously to prove a point. Its like you see the videos of the bikers who think you've caused a minor hazard so I'm going to smash off your wing mirror and run off and do 130mph in a 30
Like you say, there must be something strange about donning your leathers that makes you act like a complete .Biker in this video gets no sympathy at all for me.
He is stupid.
Should be done for driving dangerous.
Civic driver is even more stupid. Should be done for attempted murder.
Maybe they can be cell mates :-)

Don't get me wrong the car driver shouldn't have done that, whether deliberate or completely ignorant. By the same token, the biker would wind drivers up. Lane 2 the entire time whether passing people or not, insisting on getting to the front of the queue to then pull away slowly. I don't condone the driver but I can see the biker getting on people's nerves!
Agreed. It was terrible riding and so obviously going to end up badly unless a lot of luck was coming.Agree with posters on here that 2 tts meeting at speed on the road usually means trouble. Neither driver nor rider can claim to be innocent here. Rider speeding in right lane has already pissed off the Civic driver and should have realised with the undertaking and the wheelspin at the lights! Civic driver will have an interesting chat with the Police if they've got hold of this. So will the rider! I sincerely hope having wrecked his bike twice he learns a lesson.
Civic driver should be charged with dangerous driving at the very least. Rider with careless driving. Could they both be charged with street racing?
Would his insurers pay out for his bike if they saw the video and could claim a 'racing incident'?

Must say, even as a non biker I have always had a thing for the Hayabusa, its so fantastically ugly and evil looking, what do bikers make of them, is it regarded as a bit of a big lump ? fast but unwieldy, sort of a two wheeled lardy but powerful GT ? Amazing you can get one for three grand or under.
Remember returning to my hotel in a suburb of Atlanta whilst away with work, having been to my temporary local I weaved my way back and there were a few chaps on very impressive looking bikes, stood having a chat, I recognized one a "Busa" as I believe they get called and despite them looking a bit scary I said hello and complemented them on their fine steeds.
They didnt seem to want to kill/rob me or anything, so got chatting, they had various modifications and all but one had a much longer rear swingarm, turbos and nitrous were involved, as were impressive paint and neon lights but its a bit hazy, one of them offered me a spin on the back but even in my slightly drunk state I am not that fking mental, having been on standard sports bikes and been utterly terrified I cant imagine my chances of holding on to something like that if I nearly fell of the back of a 100 bhp CBR600

If you think a CBR600 is fast then a busa will make you re-evaluate that. I went from a 600 to a busa and the 600 felt broken when I got back on it Remember returning to my hotel in a suburb of Atlanta whilst away with work, having been to my temporary local I weaved my way back and there were a few chaps on very impressive looking bikes, stood having a chat, I recognized one a "Busa" as I believe they get called and despite them looking a bit scary I said hello and complemented them on their fine steeds.

I am imagine the police have a software programme that scans Facebook, YouTube etc for things like this. If they don’t somebody will have and somebody can easily forward it to them.
