The "black pack" looks too sinister for me. I think a Bentley saloon needs a bit of bling. Lovely thing though.
Agreed.

Beluga black with chrome brightwork traditional mesh grille and silver wheels.
This spec, spot on. I'd have mine in traditional Peacock Blue.

Another 2.5ton lump of a car with yet more generic korean looks, also the way bmw seem to have gone.
So much pointless spec, some car makers just can't grasp that sometimes less is more.
Bentleys of old had charisma, this thing really doesnt.

If it had fewer toys and less dragster-like performance it would be seen as lacking, even though it wouldn't be by any practical measure.

When all manufacturers can produce a car that can perform and look however they want it to - and it has all been done before anyway-, it is very difficult to produce something different. The front end does look silly, though.

Cars ceased to be about what is useful a long time ago.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'generic Korean looks' today. Have you been living under a rock. Some of the best automotive designers in the world have been working for Hyundai and Kia for a decade now.

Or maybe you like the design direction some German premium brands are taking lately. For example, the ever growing (and already massive) kidney grills on the latest bmw offerings. Oh what a fine tast you have there.

From the side view, that was the first car that came to my mind.

Are people so unimaginative that simply because a Chrysler has a large grille they compare it to a Bentley?

It’s a saloon with four doors. What else is similar? I do t see it at all. The proportions are quite different.

I think it does have a seventies family car feel albeit XXL. It’s a nice looking thing on the road.

I saw a few in Casino Square last week - beautiful looking cars in the metal.

And nothing wrong with a little Coke bottle styling!

Having just watched the Carwow review, I can only say that it left me with a big "want" (albeit possibly with the upcoming V8), which is something I'd never say about a big Bentley. IMO a strikingly sharp design and fantastic proportions that I reckon won't date badly with time, as well as an interior that finds a suitable balance between modern touchscreen and old school buttons.

Only with the mesh grill and without the panoramic roof, fridge and useless back seat entertainment stuff.

What? I just don’t understand how you can say these are remotely related.

Duuuuhhh come on... they both have wing mirrors, front and rear lights and the wheels are round.

Open your eyes!!

Ps.... I hate these weak comparisons. From 500 yrds on a foggy day with a bit of dust in my eyes, I would not mistake the two.
