Yep couldn't agree more.
And being honest, I think the Alpine will do very well residually in the medium-long term as all special Renaults do. There is some nonsense posted on here sometimes.
Lol what a lot of complete arse as usual Sideways. You are a complete lacking basic motoring knowledge and it shows clearly every time you post. And being honest, I think the Alpine will do very well residually in the medium-long term as all special Renaults do. Woah there Bob, drinking and typing? There is a rather fab looking Alpine showroom that backs on to the track at Le Mans as I’m sure you know. It’s protected by armed guards and a number of gun installations, however, so will require someone to know someone for you to gain access. But that would be a great destination for an Alpine trip if you could swing it...

We need to put a wiki together of Alpine owners and the haters. We can then arrange for the haters to be given a hug and be told it will be ok; other cars do exist and they need not get so upset about it.
Anyone up for an Alpine jaunt next year ? Dan, can you pull some strings ?
I'm certainly up for a factory tour, NC500 - and, to be honest, even the most feeble excuse will do for me to drive the car.Anyone up for an Alpine jaunt next year ? Dan, can you pull some strings ?

What a strange attitude. Renault have produced more top notch hot hatches than anyone else in the last 20 years, including probably the daddy of them all, the Clio Trophy 182.
In your opinion, they are not my cup of tea at all, is it ok to think something different to you simonbamg said:

Sorry Maffew I thought that was it but I agree with you!
I think it is a sign of what a good job Alpine have done if the only detractors can shout “residual values” as a put-down only to be shown as fools on the basis of the evidence to date.
I’m going to troll a Tesla model x thread as I don’t like that rear spoiler...
Not a problem at all, it can get a bit jumbled when posts start disappearing I think it is a sign of what a good job Alpine have done if the only detractors can shout “residual values” as a put-down only to be shown as fools on the basis of the evidence to date.

I don't even have a particular dog in this fight, the Alpine is outside of my price range, but I appreciate what they're doing. However every time I read a thread on Alpine, the same old poster rears his/her head (or the alt account), it is very strange!

I’d say it’s probably better to just buy what YOU want on the basis that if YOU love it, someone else probably will too...
I’ve always found it odd the people in the UK seem to spec purchases for the next person, rather than themselves. If you want an interesting colour etc just do it, you only live once.I like these. I’ve only seen one on the road in blue and it was quite a striking thing and really caught me attention.

Go for it, but don’t be horrible they might get the hump with you and be rude
I tend to treat PistonHeads as a pub without beer. I make a post that I think adds value or calls somebody out for being out of order. I, personally, wouldn’t keep making stupid comments like “meh” in a conversation I wasn’t interested in unless I was six. Likewise if there was a conversation that I wasn’t interested in I wouldn’t waste my time or their time by interrupting them. I’d find a table of likeminded people and discuss onanism or dogging or whatever it is you enjoy.Miserablegit said:
