Gents, I seem to recall on this thread someone recommended a vent-mounted mobile phone holder. If so, please let me know the brand, thanks.
I have my bank cards in my phone case, so use a simple non magnetic clip on device to avoid de-magnetising the cards - works very well.

I have the VIN number and have been able to check the service history - it has a full history from delivery until 2013 with a main dealer, and then that's when the history he had was present, which was fairly extensive from 2013 up until April this year smile

Happy days.

I wouldn’t.

Find an E320 cdi estate in budget. I’m biased though.
Oh dear, what happened to yours? I know harrykul fell foul of his diesel one's foibles...

So it's bought then? Good stuff, just following a bloke I don't know buying a car, but it's like having skin in the game!

They're good cars, but no replacement for a real barge... A 4-pot diesel is going to feel awful after a V8.

E92's are happily around at that kind of money now - 325 estate? https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201...

Or even a 330i: https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201...

Could also do diesel, but they're a bit more expensive.

Well, if you want something V8 and bargey, and with a box on the back.....

Zero description and a screwed in towing eye makes me wince though. 5 brave pills.

No, not technically, but as near as done, yes. Providing it passes the MOT without issue and the mirror gets fixed.... All is well. If the mirror is a quick fix then I could collect it Wednesday, if not it'd be Saturday or later if it can't be fixed by then.

The S211 E500 has a fairly clean recent MOT history. A lot of car for the money and definitely bring your brave pills, or a towing truck!

And I recently picked up this little beastie which you simply drop your phone into, and the weight of the phone holds the side clamps in, then goes back to small size when you remove. Neat and nicely engineered, no fighting tight clamps or magnets (or not getting it in tight enough). At £6.50 it's a bargain, I'd pay "full" price to replace it now I'm used to it.

I had to (re)-ask the same question and the recommendation then - and what I have bought - was indeed Mega Mounts:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mega-Mounts-PINK-Editio...

I went for the pink edition to reinforce how comfortable I am with my masculinity, but they're available in boring old black too.

Holy mother of God that's a lot of car for the money! Can't be healthy at that price.... Can it?!

That looks very good, does it work in portrait?

Looks like it can't unfortunately. I have one of these, but I paid about £12 for it. Works very well and can be rotated.

I too have enjoyed the process from about six weeks ago "fed up of the Corolla thinking of saving for a barge in a year or so" to "there is a Lexus at a local dealer" to "fixing a few snags and its mine." True spirit of the thread, congratulations on the new barge.

I am sure I am not alone in saying hearing about you driving a Corolla has been very upsetting for us thread regulars so we are very glad you are back in something more appropriate wink

All true, but he'll miss the green digital clock. The later Lexus lost them as part of a cost savings measure. Apparently.

Thanks fellas.

But can someone please explain this whole green digital clock thing to me?!

I very much hope the car gets fixed tomorrow..... Then forecourt shots on Wednesday (along with THAT rear armrest, of course wink )
