Fabulous. A keeper or on sale? What a charming thing to have. Untitled by Jack O'Brien, on Flickr

Not seen one in this colour before, also has rear blinds and a sunroof Ooooh and the air purifier like my Crown!

That is just such a lovely colour. LS430s are so colour dependant. But why have 96 photos of it? https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201...
I’d be tempted to go with a higher miles example, they seem to wear them well.
plain silver, but good value - https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2...
BTW - where are the heated seat buttons on the 430? Not easy to see on this one

Fabulous! Loving the rear overhang too. What happens to the handling if you put something heavy in the boot? W00DY said:

Soon to be shed of the week money.
I love the fact that Autotrader say its 5,912 miles above average, rather than concentrating that it has had less than 11 owners ! Less than 11 owners is always a winner in my book, especially if it has all that slightly germanic walnut veneer that the airline Emirates subsequently went with to pop into their A380's.
What the feck, you know it's going to cost you an arm and a leg anyway, but you can at least get comfortable in the seats after your wife throws you out of the house and puts in "parental controls" on Pistonheads forum......
Ironically both this car and an Emirates Airbus A380 are as cheap as chips second hand. Thanks to that walnut veneer..... oh, and being big old smoker barges.
I like the green. If it's true what they say about Phaeton running costs then I'd want at least 10 cylinders of misery.https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201...

Apologies, it has been some time since I teased my purchase of what seems to be a rather nice 850 T5 estate.
I've had it for a month or so now and I'm delighted with it. It's got a long history on the Volvo owners forum and for once I've bought something that's had tons of care and money thrown at it. Of course, it's nigh-on 25 years old and has done 180k+ miles so frankly all bets are off at this point but I'm quietly confident that it has tons of life left in it.
It's a bit odd being back in something with a throttle cable and no driver aids beyond ABS after all these years. The driving is dominated by the mid range, it's one of those cars which actually doesn't feel that quick but which just keeps building speed. I can see why the police rated them so much, it's a very stable high speed cruiser.
Having had one of these with a map on it, it would be rude not to give this one a little tickle as they really do have a lot more to give.
It's very blue
Faults so far are an irritating battery drain which I'm hoping to chase down this weekend. I'm suspecting it's the aftermarket immobiliser which now does nothing but is still connected to power. Also the brakes are...... ehhhhh..... about as good as they ever were. I've got the caliper carriers for a 302mm plod spec brake upgrade so that'll get done at some point.
Bodywork is generally good, save some rust around the roof gutters where the seals rub. That probably won't be a cheap fix but I'll get it done sooner rather than later.
I'm just enjoying driving it, it's a genuinely different and charming thing compared to more modern cars. I'm not going to say it's better, in so many areas it empirically isn't, but it has that "something" which makes me happy. That's what it's all about

Exhaust looks smart too!
C6 exclusive, £2750, yes it’s the 2.7D, with the big tax, but...

That looks great - I remember thinking when they came out that they were stunning. Especially at a time when most Volvos were boxes on wheels in styling terms!

Beware that seller. Formerly known (most infamously) as LexusChap. Avoid like the plague.I’d be tempted to go with a higher miles example, they seem to wear them well.

I wonder how they found that the ads had been altered subsequent to purchase. Perhaps the buyer captured screen shots of the ad?https://www.dudley.gov.uk/news/second-prosecution-...
