One for the Lexus lovers here.

Interesting to see how that finishes up.
I proper love that. So retro. Such a shame that's in Scotland as the cost to get it would be more than the car.
I love it as well. A great colour - and are these 400s getting better looking with age? Compared to modern cars they are subtle and tasteful.

I like the ad.

Slightly over budget, but worth posting I think.

Thud.

Is parking on your back lawn the opposite of a gravel drive?
Flipping amazing.

A 2.5T barge size motor qualifies in my book.

Welcome.
In keeping with CDG's apologising for not multi quoting (I don't know how), sorry for not multi quoting.

I appreciate the measly 5 cylinders I have may rule my out of everyone's definition of a barge, but I like it very much. Thanks smile

Right so we have an LS400 in grey over grey, with clear indicators and stupid chav plates, cracked leather, no floor mats, tape over a leak, a couple of dodgy tyres, no mention of service history and it's got 6 days to run. If it was £500 great, but since it won't be I have no idea what's so special about it.

I'd put good money on it being a shed. Lexus fever has gone too far we need some sense in this thread again.

Really need to get some photos of it really! There is a special photo for CdG though.

Just to keep it semi on topic, is there an easy way to stream music from your phone on this era of Lexi?

Isn't it. Even the most optimistic man maths doesn't get me close, but to me that is the perfect car.

Being moderately Hugh Grant-ish in every way except looks, wealth, suaveness and general charm (so not a-la-Hugh at all really, although I do love a fulsome and needless apology) but, in the spirit of openness, I need to clarify that I tend to apologise either for self-quoting or for consecutive posts. I'm not sure why really, but both seem like bad form.

It was consecutive posts I was apologising for, due to being unable to multi quote. Maybe the apology was needless, but for some reason I feel the same about multi quotes. I'll add it to the 'must learn how to do' list...

As you were! smile

On the desktop browser, I open new tabs with each quoted post and then copy paste. On the mobile, where it's nigh impossible, particularly whilst urinating, I just reply away and think 'bks to CdG and his attempts to apply faux convention onto this thread'.

One day you'll look back on this moment with shame and regret at how you doubted. One day ...
wink

Possibly.

I like the SC430 and always have - in fact it is the only Lexus I do like. It's the looks. I like the looks.

We stand apart on this W00DY. I've had a thing for the SC and this corner of the internet harbours a clutch of us.

It reminds me of the line in 'I, Robot'; "Why is that that robots huddle together in a container?".

2007 S350 petrol long wheeler. Silver and black is dull, strong miles (158), but, £4300. That seems value. Yes Gumtree, but that's where the bargains are. Sometimes.

An old S class is a tempting thing.

Think we've had this 1995 S280 at £1800, but it's nice, so have it again.

1999 S500, claims 57k and FSH. £2k

2005 S500L looks very regal even with a bust mirror case, £2300.

This carthrottle vid seems to suggest they can be costly if borked, but hey, can't anything?!

I'm quoting myself here, in all seriousness how ruinous could the first or last be? Long trips and much town work, fuel inefficient I'm sure, what about reliability? It seems a good few years/ volumes since anyone's really been running a 220, let alone a 140, with vigour. ETA, maybe a 140, but not that specific one having looked at bigger pics, it's a bit sheddy mcshed face.
