What’s wrong with it?

Must be a steal at £2bags?
Maybe because it appears to be different shades of silver, front to rear.

Poor advert with no info on history etc.

This is the essence of my clock nerdery. Toyota launch a luxury brand but use a generic cheap digital clock, when it's a nation famed for horological wonder. Why not 'do a Maserati' and add another little flourish that will charm your loyal customers? Seems like a trick missed to me.
The fancy Merc item will look lovely but probably require a visit to the dealer to set it, then the minute hand will fall off a week out of warranty. Whereas the cheap looking Japanese item will keep perfect time even when the car is crushed into a cube.

I’d say the Japanese will view this as some kind of result.

I think the Japanese are not really known for their fineries..... They are well renowned for their electronics, and their car build quality. Having a clock like the Merc wouldn't be very Japanese, in my opinion.

The Merc clock does look nice though.

Not sure about that. Check out a Grand Seiko for finery.

With the towing eye still in and the milky headlights and the lack of 2 seats in the boot.

Still, could be a good deal if i's just the light showing the paint Iike that, it seems Merc silver photos far worse than it can look up close.

4.2 supercharged L322 sneaks into cheap tax and is a smidge over thread. Claimed to be on sale for a customer now reads as a px, and has dropped a couple of k since it first went on.

Oooh, that's lovely. I'd cry every time I had to fill it up though.

Even on a normal snap like that the bodywork just looks so special.

With the best will in the world I can’t say I think it’s a handsome thing, but it just reeks of quality and engineering integrity.

I can well believe that. I’m a big big fan.

I’d just love to see an E32 BMW style but engineered and built by the guys who built the Century.

I really like that. thumbup
And me, what a lovely interior! Never been a fan of the C, mind, but that does look good.
I'm with T Lex, these have always struck me as wholly unremarkable, but a V6 and lovely leather interior gives this model the touch of class that perhaps it always deserved.

EDIT: Sold for £1,266

Interior looks absolutely shagged, it also appears to have gone 30k miles since its last service (unless they missed a photo of that) and the wheels are not E38 wheels. I also think the colour doesn't suit the E38, but that's personal preference. Wouldn't be something I'd spend my money on. A nice 728i is a nice enough car though, I had one for a few years a while ago smile

2005 S600L with leaky LPG at £6k. Yes, I know, but S600!

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2019...

ETA add this CL600 to your stable at £4k, and you have a two car V24 12L wonderfest at double thread. Now that's man maths!

To bring it back to those clocks.. Grand Seikos are like Seikos “premium” range that are exquisitely crafted and cost thousands. My mates got a 3 year old E class with the clock and tells me you set it digitally for it then to display on the clock!
