We were actually doing a track comparison between the RR and the XR that day - the premise being, 'Is the XR the ultimate all-rounder: commute on Monday, track day Saturday, etc.' Our test rider (ex-BSB Superstock and IOM racer) consistently got the XR within a second of the RR during the timed sessions: we were ALL shocked! But as BMW are corporate sponsors of Mondello, there's an M4 (and M2 Comp) always sat in the paddock, so we took it out for a laugh to get a few slo-mo shots - so bloody refreshing not to have to worry about any 'health and safety' rubbish.... just stand by the edge of the track and keep filming as they kept coming around! Haha! We could never actually use that footage for anything else - but it looked great at the time!
