Unlucky, my doctor is great.

Eric should be able to help though he always got cars up his arse.

This is a bit annoying for me - my old Outback is staggering on and really could do with replacement soon. Though there are lots of jacked-up estate cars available (Octavia Scout, Allroads, Alltracks etc), none of them are as good on the rough stuff as an Outback so that's what I'd really like to get. However the only engines that have been available in the UK for a while now are a rather dubious diesel with not enough power or a dubious petrol with not enough torque and barely adequate power. I'm perfectly happy with CVT but I would like a but of poke to go with it so it is annoying that the Japs get a 300hp unit, and the yanks get the new 2.4 turbo.

Change the wheels and gearbox and I like this alot.

At £25k I would have think they would sell well in the UK too. I'd certainly be tempted.

It's mad they only offer one engine/drivetrain option in the UK. It was a higher powered 1.6, now a lower powered 2.0. The opposite of what most manufacturers are doing - the mind boggles!

Is this a replacement for the much missed Legacy GT-B wagon from the early to mid 90s?
Hi the Legacy Twinscroll is the replacement for that, JDM only too.

maybe that's the problem, a market who would take the safe route and buy a 3 series touring. ive driven the uk Levorg and yes its slow compared to my 300bhp JDM Legacy, but very well equipped , smooth, well built, dealer was fantastic and happy to lend me it for the week, CVT was smooth and felt like any normal auto box.

There are some STI Levorgs coming into the UK now and last gen Legacy DITs which aren't as good looking as Gen 4 Legacy, but again well equipped and circa 300bhp.

I would much rather have a BMW. Subaru really do produce some junk these days don't they? A real shame and fall from grace.

Subaru have been doing very well in America for a long time now:

I suspect this, in part, explains why they have taken their eye off the ball in Europe; we tend to want different things.

Subaru have no interest in the UK market, I imagine when they do annual reports in Japan, the UK and parts of EU too - will be at the bottom like the last match on MOTD.

People in the USA tend to be less fooled and it's a main market as well as Asia of course and most Swedes would drive a Subaru.

I genuinely don't know who are buying these Subarus now.

It's such an odd looking car with a weird name. Strangely, Subaru got it right with the 2003/04 on Legacy, but managed to screw it up ever since. The interior of this cyborg is very cheap. Like a cut up wheelie bin.

A dealership local to me took on Subaru franchise and I would doubt they sell a new Subaru a month. I travel all around the area (it's fairly remote) and I hardly see one. On the very rare occasion I do see one, it's been supplied by the neighbouring county dealer which is far more successful and longer established. Interesting to read that Subaru were cutting back on the heavy expansion. But the question remains, who is buying them?

It certainly is a nice looking car. I don't know why they have saddled them all with a CVT. A fine transmission for an eco-cruiser but not something I'd want on a fun or fast car.

It looks very much like an eco cruiser, a modern Legacy.

Lol. The reason they’re making a slush box is because it’s squarely aimed at the US. Subaru could close tomorrow and nobody would care. The make literally nothing interesting these days. Just cheap generic UJC

Only a fool would buy a new Subaru.

interesting comment, based on what?

Go to the countryside and you will see Outbacks , the US and Canada thrive on them, as they need a car that's dependable and will cope with the weather and snow they get.

There's a fool in my village then as he's got a new Levorg, he drives it instead of his 22B, which he's had from new.

We speak most weeks as he admired my JDM Legacy, in his words why would I buy a german car when I can have this ?

Each to their own.

Have you guys driven this car? Or a current
WRX STi?

As for the more everyday spec cars they sell every day cars go the current cars are no worse than other similarly priced cars.

You always seem to answer a question with a question. Very odd.

I have ot driven this but have driven a standard levorg and it's certainly not a bad car. Have driven a current WRX STi and it was great fun.

That’s great, a modern WRX doesn’t interest me, less so the Levorg, might as well buy a Volvo.
