Hi guys. I have a 1975 Reliant Scimitar SE5A body which I would like to put on a modern car chassis. What chassis donors are compatible with the 1975 Reliant Scimitar?

Thank you very much in anticipation.

Most modern cars don't have a seperate chassis.

Thank you for the response. Is there any car post 1975 with a chassis that could be compatible?

I'd be surprised. By the sound of it, you want something with the same track and wheelbase, plus bulkhead position.

The original one is in bad shape. But when thinking of getting a replacement my imagination ran wild when I saw some peoples modifications on here. Someone had a Cobra on a Z4 chassis, and it got my juices flowing. That is the reason I made the enquiry sir.

the Z4 does not have a seperate chassis....so even this cobra n Z4 was just a rebody by adapting body panles from a cobra to th eexisting moncoque structire of a Z4

before you invest adapting the scimi body to something different its far cheaper to pay somebody repairing your existing chassis .

there is nothing wrong with the orignal chasssis..double whsobon front and watt-linkage rear is not too bad

I can only think of a few US cars that kept a separate chassis and they'd dwarf a SE5 and be a cruder design. Anything else is probably exotic and pricey.

If you really want to do something crazy how about fixing up your old chassis and converting it to independent rear suspension.

Thank you very much GinG15 and Oldandslow. I think after reading your inputs, I'm either going to get the current chassis fixed or source a replacement one. Your input is much appreciated guys.
