As long as it doesn’t look like this

you should be fine
I know an MOT station that would only put an advisory on that.

Hilarious. Did you think at all before posting?
Yes. But I guess just repeating what a major manufacturer list as their guidance for repairs AND their explanation means its not really mine.
So you didn't, then? Might that manufacturer have a vested interest in selling me a new tyre? Might they also be st scared of a liability claim if they gave any other advice to their consumers?

What period of time are you thinking might elapse before the corrosion got bad enough to affect the seal of the puncture repair? Is that period longer or shorter than the time it would take for a vehicle doing, say, 10000 miles a year to wear that tyre to the point it needed replacing?

I have no idea, but I'd say longer...much longer. YMMV. Literally.

I can't add much to this, other than to say I had a £10 repair done on a Pirelli run-flat that lasted for another 11K miles with no issues!

Been driving for longer than some people on here are old. Have always repaired tyres. No BS this neck of the woods. Everything gets repaired unless obviously structurally compromised. Lots of dirty debris filled roads, lots of potholes. Always ran tyres till they wore down. Never any issue. Just replaced a pair of 4x4 tubeless tyres that a fitter damaged so badly (long story) that they would not seal, bead rubber off the wire for 4 inches. Ran them with tubes for 4 years. Although I never bought part worns, as never needed to, on behalf of others, must thank all the people who sometimes always (???) replace a tyre when it gets punctured, presumably while on their way to trauma counselling.
