Need a 6 pot front set. If its say made by Brembo or Texstar supply OEM going direct may save over a ton!

I paid 170 from main dealer with the peace of mind or original pads. I did think this was too bad....

Hi, I needed front and rear pads for a customers car, spoke to Eurocarparts and my other Porsche parts supplier, nothing listed as yet.

I ended up with dealer ones.

I wouldn’t bother, personally.

I replaced the rear pads on my MacanS a few months back and got them directly from local OPC for a little over £100.

With the comfort of knowing they’re the right ones and no quibbles from Porsche if there’s a warranty claim etc.

John PCGB...you get 10% discount on parts from PEC’s. When you’re replacing things like brakes pays for itself very quickly.

There is a lot going with these ones - the caliper bolts need replacing too. My idea of £100 and an hour on the drive has long flown the nest! But at the end of the day its just a DIY for a pair of pads - no need to pull any pins either.

Porsche as crafty as ever and I cant seem to find who they get the pads from before adding 200%. I maintained a 535d for 5 years with exact same as OEM parts from GSF - saved a fortune. Struggling to let that wiliness go!

Helpful chap on the Porsche Club forum posted this guide inc photos, to replacing Macan's brakes. Seems to be accessible without a login or club membership. According to his guide, his pads were labelled 'Textar' when he removed the old ones. In fact, zooming in on his photo of the new kit to be fitted, they are 'Textar T4998 GG' for a Macan SD front.

If you're not worried about them having 'Porsche' stamped on them why not just find an aftermarket alternative like Pagid or Performance Friction?

I used Performance Friction in my 911 for years and they're better pads than the OEs were, so it's a win win.

Thanks guys. I noted in that pic that the calipers said 'made in Italy' too - now who could that be... wink

I decided my compromise was DIY with OE bits but its terribly confusing what bits come with it - you need the caliper bolts and spring clips and likely sensor wires. People that may give a discount also guess what is in the 'kit' but on the same part number Porsche are selling all the bits separately. The price difference is £150 so not peanuts. Looks like rears come with the clips - maybe! I'll get to the bottom of it - eventually!
