Looks like the offers have started.
I purchased two Echo Plus (1st gen) for £45 each from Amazon today.
When they arrive I think I will leave them boxed in case any better deals pop up over the next few weeks.

Hopefully can find some bundles with Hue and maybe Alexa/Nest Home

Doing up the spare room now that a 3rd family member is on the way! I think being able to command lights, heating, music/sounds by voice while your hands are full of stty nappies will be very useful!

I was only looking for one new Echo, but bought two because at that price I am now intending to put one in the garage for similar reasons (less st and more grease though!)

I'm after a couple of TVs - 50 and 65" with Soundbars and a Dyson hand held. I suspect though that stores will continue to discount into December otherwise they'll see a huge drop off in sales running into Xmas. Black Friday doesnt always seem to throw up the best deals either!

I vaguely recall there being stronger deal after Black Friday in the lead up to Christmas over the last couple of years.

I'll be on the lookout for an xbox for my kids - Not the digital one mind...

Bought a cheap dashcam from Halfords. Waiting for an SD card to arrive.

Why did I buy it from Halfords? Because, if it's crap or broken, I can return it without having to pay for it to be returned and waiting for ages wondering if I'll get my money back. wink

It will make next to no difference. In fact, the last thing you will want to do is speak to Alexa to turn light soff when you have just spent 20 minutes trying to get them to sleep. Only value is connected Wifi cameras that could beam to an Echo show or similar.

What do you mean by not the digital one?

I’m keeping an eye out for an Xbox but know bugger all about them so don’t want to buy the wrong thing!

There's a version that only has internal storage without a disc and uses only digital storage - So you can put discs in it... I'm not sure I'm keen on that one...

No need to buy an xbox deal specifically at Black Friday. The same deals are always available before during and after Black Friday and Christmas. Game tend to do the best ones.

Above all, check your Black friday bargains prices. Quite often they are not the cheapest prices and actually go down AFTER Black Friday. Especially with TVs, check the specs and prices at places like Richer Sounds.

That'll be £25 guaranteed on Black Friday. I picked 2 up last year and paid In interest free installments over 5 months via Amazon too.

Prices dropping further is why I have kept my 2 just arrived echo plus in the boxes. Easy to send back if I see a better price over the next few weeks.

This

I bought 2 @£35 then the price dropped to £24 so I bought another 2 (for my kids). Then I got a free one through the subscription deal...
