Another great video from Harry. He is playing co-presenter to the 812 Superfast and it's working a treat.

I'm half tempted to take a trip down that way in the VX220, but I'd imagine the journey might not be as comfortable!

Agreed, seeing on the roads up to and around Mount Vontoux was epic

Gearing seemed a little poor however on the cruise over, pulling 3k @ 81mph

Also nuts to think the options added around £90k to the price including £1400 for the seat height adjuster that is only on the drivers seat

Great to see a review that was so balanced and I do love that area of France. Worse than the RPM was the fact that it wasn't quiet at cruising speeds which seems mad.

It did look fantastic going up Ventoux screaming with a bit of tail out action though.

Great 812 video from Harry - that's the way to do it.
Although he seemed enthusiastic about the car generally it seemed to me that it had more power than it needed, was not particular comfortable, noisy at cruising speeds & too expensive with the options.
I think for that sort of money an AM DBS would do the job better.

I think he’s gonna do a video next to show us if his cars start or not wink

The most ridiculous thing about that 812 is the CarPlay option - something like £2400, when it’s exactly the same as you get for free on any new small car.

is it possible to buy a new Ferrari without a single option? Would you get barred from the dealer?

They just laugh at you when you come to pick it up with no wheels on it, since the standard 15" steelies won't fit over the brakes.

This is a big thing being discussed at the moment. If you want to buy a new Roma and have it in the first quarter of ‘21 you’re required to add £40k of options.

I believe it was over £50k with the 812 and £40k on the F8 Tributo too. Madness.

It is complete madness, especially if you don't like carbon fibre, or find it pointless....
I did llike the wheels on the 812 SF that Harry drove, but he did not like the seats and said standard were better

I am inclined to agree. I am not a fan of carbon everywhere on interiors it is not my thing. I tend to prefer a slightly more luxury oriented spec. Take Tim’s Lusso, that is a bit of me! I do like what he did with his SLS Black as well, I like that sort of spec

Harry’s 812 video was very good as always. I would prefer silver wheels personally.

Good to see Tim has got his Clio back, although slightly bittersweet considering it's a cube.

I echo his comments regarding the memories that a car can hold. I was trying to explain to someone only this morning how my relatively ordinary car history is anything but ordinary to me purely because of the memories and adventures I've had in them.

Tim, in tonight’s video about the Clio, is the alcantara peeling away from the a-pillar on the McLaren Senna?

I’ve thought that before in a previous video!

Also Tim, give the Clio to Arthur Tussik. He’ll have it as good as new in no time! smile

That's pretty crazy. Can they really be called options if they're a requirement to buy the car?

In Tim's recent 'will my car's start' video, unless I missed it, seemed odd to not mention how much more of a big deal a flat battery would be on some cars rather than others. e.g. my understanding is the McLaren battery would cost thousands and the Focus maybe £100.

I’m pretty sure he has been over that in previous videos/ the last time the Lusso died

I think it has been mentioned before and Tim cleared it up and it’s not.
