I forgot how nice those Jags are.Jayem getting great views v's sub numbers, he's doing something right. I love those jags.
The XJ video I felt very bad about, it was filmed months ago but when I had the idea to do a British car month I knew I wanted that to be a part of it.
Jag week has been quite enjoyable all round, it must be said. Next week's brand in British Car Month is something I have never had on the channel at all.

Another corker from Harry’s Garage. Road trip in the Mclaren GT.
I really like these types of video too, even in a less interesting car, just the trips themselves, the routes and the scenery would be enjoyable. Are there any other channels producing this type of road trip content?

Listened to most of it this morning when walking the dog.
Yes, seemingly very well paid 9-5 job in the textile industry that allows financing a 458 Speciale (though he did say he didn't have a house at the time). He mentioned that his uncle is into cars and has a business restoring classic Astons. Sounded like there was probably some familial wealth/backing rather than a rags to riches type situation (though I may be wrong).
I think his Dad may have founded/built up the Kiniki pants/underwear/swimwear business that must now do well online, but not 100% sure....check it out.....might be mistakenYes, seemingly very well paid 9-5 job in the textile industry that allows financing a 458 Speciale (though he did say he didn't have a house at the time). Did he buy it? Feels like a paid promotion?
Yeah defo this, he hasn’t even hidden the fact and said something along the lines of this will sit on my drive and I’ll have use of it.Seems like the Murc might also be back at SB based on the mechanic mentioning starting it up to compare exhausts, Paul shut him down very quickly.

Jealousy is a terrible thing.
Not jealous at all. It’s just noticeably blatant and a reoccurring thing they do. Around the 6 minute mark if anyone’s interested.Edited by scottydoesntknow on Friday 6th December 20:14

They don’t do many road trips, but the ones they have done are really good. Here’s another one from Germany -

Matt Farah appears on Joe Rogan Experience, haven’t listened to it all yet but worth a mention I’m sure...
Well worth a watch/listen although not all about cars.Farah also has Harris in the latest smoking tyre podcast. Again, well worth a listen.
I've grown to like Farah. Used to find his brutal honesty just rude but I now find that's what I like about him.

I like nice watches and nice cars and I applaud those who work hard to own them. Loads of Youtubers as well as The Grand Tour guys wear them and I always enjoy trying to figure out what they are. The Car Guys however are the only ones who slip in a casual zoom and refocus to hammer it home. I just find it lacks subtlety.
You're missing what their channel is about. They collect both cars and watches and have videos that are purely about watches as well as videos about matching a watch to a car. That may seem odd to people who don't get one or the other but I'm sure many petrolheads are into their mechanical watches. The shots are not intended as "look at my new expensive watch". It's a case of "I chose this to go with this car (however daft that may seem). And they're not all mega expensive watches.
Besides. We should be happy this is at least one channel that should hopefully stay free of Vinchero sponsorship.

Very daft. I can't imagine many things more ludicrous than trying to match your watch to tour car and thinking anyone else gives a st. But each to their own i guess!pistolpedro said:
Thanks - wouldn't have found this otherwise. scottydoesntknow said:
Another gratuitous watch shot in the latest TheCarGuys Maybach clip. We get it, you’re rich. No need to keep rubbing our noses in it.
I seem to remember, many videos ago, that they said they got so many comments from people asking to see their watches and this is their way of satisfying the watch fans. Many of us love watches as well as cars so it's interesting to see what they're wearing. I actually think it's done in a slightly tongue in cheek way and I look out for the gratuitous watch shot in each video.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
