Are these Vloggers just a scam? SOL or Shmee etc? (Vol. 3)

Music on YouTube is a horrible, horrible topic.
I've had periods in the past where I used songs that were fully licensed and legal and then 3, 4 or 5 years down the line I get copyright strikes on them. Unfortunately this keeps happening now and every time it's a few hours going backwards and forwards to fight the claim and try to produce something from a website that probably no longer exists.
As a result, I will never use music in videos again.
Out of interest, do you trust epidemic sound?I've had periods in the past where I used songs that were fully licensed and legal and then 3, 4 or 5 years down the line I get copyright strikes on them. The more I use it, the more I find they have some fairly decent artists who have a good spotify presence etc allowing use of their music on the platform. The service seems too good to be true for £10/month (Though I expect you are bigger than that category)

Its £40 a month for commercial use.
Their wording is a bit ambiguous, but it seems most youtubers would fall under the personal plan - https://www.epidemicsound.com/personal-subscriptio...I would avoid it purely because if somebody else purchases the song, or samples it into a commercial release down the line, your video will instantly be matched by the YouTube computers and commence a stressful and time consuming fight to get the rights (and income) back in your favour.
Well, first new video in two months is up tonight. This one has made me really nervous, given how brutal the Youtube algorithm has been in the past I have a fear that it just won’t get pushed at all and will flop. Which is a real shame as honestly I think it’s one of my best videos.
Looking at the first couple of hours views, seems my fears were well founded! <facepalm>

Do you want to see a Senna driven flat out at the Nordschleife, you do don't you?

That is insane apparently the driver isn't that experienced at the Nordschleife! I cannot wait for the video when he is experienced.

Another frustratingly barely watchable video from SOL.
Living with a motorbike for a week. Goes for some petrol. Goes to Cambridge, GoPro stops recording. Goes to 'the countries biggest Sainsburys', demonstrates how to ride into a parking space (apparently you may not understand this if you don't have a bike license) and then ends the week in the BMW.

Surprised at the efforts Samcrac is going to to revive an old Range Rover.
Still enjoying Sarah’n’Tuned. Attention to detail is about as good as it gets and no stroking of her own ego.
Budget Builds $1000 911 is coming along nicely. (Or was it $500?) but hope they don’t fit that awful rear wing.

Could you put a few tunes together yourself? Bit of guitar or piano? How’s your singing voice?!
Even this can be a total nightmare!Years ago I used to run a very big channel which was all old rave tunes.
There were no copyright issues back then, and lots of artists supported it.
There was a huge community that was very successful all round.
The artists found people still loved their work which they thought had been long forgotten about, big names in the scene started producing music again and everyone was happy.
Then the copyright hammer started to fall.
Artists received copyright claims for their own work!
There are channels/companies and labels putting in claims for music that was never theirs, and YouTube is taking their word for it.
The whole copyright mechanism on there is massively flawed and an utter nightmare.
In the end I just closed my channel, which lost literally thousands of long lost tunes from a small U.K. scene, a lot of which have no other referencing online.
As others said, putting music in videos is a huge headache and hardly worth bothering with, especially as 3 strikes and your channel is instantly removed. Years of work gone in seconds

That and the fact that the type of music JWW and that nutter Morethancars use is total and utter garbage and enough to turn off the video regardless of content!Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
