Music on YouTube is a horrible, horrible topic.
I've had periods in the past where I used songs that were fully licensed and legal and then 3, 4 or 5 years down the line I get copyright strikes on them. Unfortunately this keeps happening now and every time it's a few hours going backwards and forwards to fight the claim and try to produce something from a website that probably no longer exists.
As a result, I will never use music in videos again.
Its down to how its done, its all machine learning and its probably that the basis for most tracks is getting similar to copyrighted tracks and with a set of series behaviours to train the machine to look at its not got 'judgement'.I've had periods in the past where I used songs that were fully licensed and legal and then 3, 4 or 5 years down the line I get copyright strikes on them. I tend to skip through any videos with a music overlay timelapse, very few people get it right in terms of volume, time and tune. For some reason the only ones I don't skip are the Driftworks builds, and I don't even like Drum&Bass...

SHMEE: so going off of sams podcast about Mclaren where you’re mentioned, are you prepared to give us an insight to your whole experience with Mclaren?
Have you been invited to the 765LT is the love affair with Mclaren over?
How’s your experience been from start to finish?
Speaking of which, a lot of people on here accuse people like Sam of only ever giving positive reviews for major brands so they keep getting invites to launches / brand deals. This podcast proves otherwise. It's a good listen.Have you been invited to the 765LT is the love affair with Mclaren over?

My experience overall with McLaren has been positive, I've had some issues, and in particular the mess with my 675LT Spider at the moment, but then I've also owned 5 of their cars and driven over 40,000 miles in them. Both of the Ferraris I've owned have had forced dealer visits, as has my Ford GT and Vantage GT8, it's just something you get used to with these kind of cars. I feel a lot of people are expecting them to be like Porsche, but they aren't making 200,000+ cars a year. It's one of the reasons I enjoy my AMGs so much, they just work all the time!
With regards to the 765LT, prior to launch if you owned a 675LT that you'd bought from new (i.e. my Spider) you could instantly have an allocation if you wanted. However, as soon as it was apparent they would release 1,530 series units and then some special versions, anybody can walk into a dealer and buy one. Considering the price point, I highly doubt they will build them all, and wouldn't even be too surprised if they cut the Spider build run to a smaller number than 765.
The Coupe wasn't ever really going to be a car for me, as the appeal to many is that it's 'almost' a Senna without being so valuable, but given I've tracked my Senna already that's not really the logic that makes sense to me. Likewise there are many similarities to the Senna and I prefer cars that are a bit different; especially given I already have 2 McLarens, for example I'd be better off spending about £75k more and buying an SF90 Stradale if I was going for that ball park.

Another frustratingly barely watchable video from SOL.
Living with a motorbike for a week. Goes for some petrol. Goes to Cambridge, GoPro stops recording. Goes to 'the countries biggest Sainsburys', demonstrates how to ride into a parking space (apparently you may not understand this if you don't have a bike license) and then ends the week in the BMW.
Again yes, very frustrating from SOL. He seems to have no direction, and always full of empty promises. All we want is for him to drive his Murci, and put miles on it. He's too focused on what he is going to lose. He's in a bad place financially and I suspect the M2 purchase was him trying to re-gain some viewers money quickly. Living with a motorbike for a week. I honestly want the best for him as he does seem genuine but his cheesy smile and laugh kind of feels put on at the moment given the horrendous content he is putting out. SOL needs to get back to affordable cars, and putting miles on them. Not everyone can be like Shmee and put thousands of miles on these types of cars.

Thanks for that jon Just to follow on shmee the tone of the podcast imo did make it sound like behind the scenes there were more issues than spoke about with yourself and Mclaren, but maybe that’s just my opinion!
Would you buy another Mclaren Tim or do you think the situation with them is abit dodgy atm?

If a McLaren cannot be rebuilt without buying parts from McLaren - at considerable expense - the cars will just be left by the wayside, insurance premiums will escalate prohibitively, and the cars will eventually die a slow death.
If this shop is buying up crashed cars and selling the parts at a fraction of the cost of the marque what's wrong with that? The inference is that the shop are obtaining the cars illegally and implicating Freddy by association. This may or may not be true, but the net result only benefits the marque.
I think Freddy has inadvertently opened up a can of worms with this latest video. He'll get his money back short term, but he'll struggle to source parts for the car going forward as I'm sure this parts shop will duck out to save themselves from the vitriol of the internet. When and if that happens Freddy will lose a lot more than $16k as will Alex rebuilds.

Have I missed a Tavarish video? I saw the one about $16k going missing, but unless I misunderstood it, he was saying it's some kind of banking snafu, not blaming the supplier.
Absolutely 100% agreeNo idea where these comments are coming from, it’s clearly stated in the video it’s a BOA issue. A bank loosing their customers money, happens all the time and I’ve been in a very similar situation before. I really hope he gets his hard earned back . I wonder if people on this thread actually watch the videos sometimes ...

Just a thought.
I'm fairly sure Tavarish wouldn't know his parts where stolen if they where. He seems like a genuinely nice bloke.
But IF it did turn out they where, and there was an investigation. How would they recover the parts if bonded to the chassis? (some of the body panels). Also, he's in another country - BUT the car is high profile. I'm just interested in the logistics of it all.

It'd likely be purely a PR issue for Tavarish - the US government is unlikely to do a single thing to assist with any case that results from such a situation anyway.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
