is it possible to buy a new Ferrari without a single option? Would you get barred from the dealer?
This is a big thing being discussed at the moment. If you want to buy a new Roma and have it in the first quarter of ‘21 you’re required to add £40k of options. I believe it was over £50k with the 812 and £40k on the F8 Tributo too. Madness.

It is being discussed on the Taycan thread about essential options
What sort of heap of car would you get with no options!!
I dunno, back in the day that's how my dad bought an E30. No options at all, just stick the biggest engine in it. 325i with 175 section tyres on steel wheels and no radio. What sort of heap of car would you get with no options!!
It went sideways quite well.

SOL another shocking video. When will he actually have any good video ideas? I'm sure the last couple have all been in dealerships. Need's to get more creative.
I thought it was interesting. Makes a change from someone walking round 6 figure value cars and gave some genuinely useful info.waynecyclist said:
Great new video from Tim and the Ford GT, autobahn blast and a lap of the ring before another blast on the autobahn.
The Ford GT just looks so planted and it is nice to see the car being used and not a garage queen.
Def a good video, did feel a bit sorry for Tim when the car was scrapping through Karussell, Misha's face was a picture lolThe Ford GT just looks so planted and it is nice to see the car being used and not a garage queen.

I hope it sounds better than that in real life..
It probably won't be able to from the factory - just a way of life with Euro 6 compliance - too many sound absorbing items interrupting the flow of those V8 exhaust gases between cylinder head and tailpipe SVJBalboni said:
Interesting to read the comments across social media on the leaked pictures of the GTR Black Series. Seems like a lot of people are disappointed with the looks, not aggressive enough. Others prefer the SLS black series which imo looks better and is probably one of the best looking modern Mercedes model.
It will be similar to the Senna and other brutally aggressive cars. It needs to be seen in person to understand the aero; for example the gurneys on the bonnet, the splitter and side skirt aero etc. Initially it looks like an overkill of design until you see it in person, but certainly a different approach to the previous Black Series models, but then it had to in the world with the cars other companies are now pumping out.Ben Jk said:

Tim, in tonight’s video about the Clio, is the alcantara peeling away from the a-pillar on the McLaren Senna?
I’ve thought that before in a previous video! Also Tim, give the Clio to Arthur Tussik. He’ll have it as good as new in no time!

Having spent quite a few laps in the SLS BS and then going to the GT R Pro, the step up in confidence and how planted it felt was significant. Then going up to the Ford GT again is yet another gigantic step, especially at high speed. The Ford GT just looks so planted and it is nice to see the car being used and not a garage queen.

With hindsight, I definitely should have gone around, but as we inspected afterwards it's just some cheap plastic underneath and fortunately the GT parts/servicing isn't very expensive so when the time comes I can replace them and keep a souvenir.SVJBalboni said:
The cabin of the Ford GT is tight. Misha and Tim look like they were sitting in a smartcar.
It's tiny, and that's in a car that has a huge footprint. The upshot is that you are sat very centrally and have an incredible seating position, it's just not hugely practical.Tim,
Have to say thanks. I also discovered Robert and Misha's channel too as a result of your latest videos. Having got very fed up with cars in general, it's really reignited my interest at a point in time that many of us have been struggling overall.
I've spent so long now watching all their older videos and especially loved the recent ones with you swapping cars with Robert. The lap with you slowly getting quieter with each corner in the GT2 was amusing.
After all your videos on the autobahn and the laps on the ring, seeing you take the Senna out to go look at the remains of the Clio and accelerate from all of 50 to 70....well it made me sad at the fact this country has nothing similar, but also happy that at least somewhere in the world the freedom to drive cars properly still exists. Rather than just vilifying them in the main like we do here.
Hopefully it continues to be possible, as even if people aren't in a position to take part, at least we get to watch and enjoy it

Robert and Misha are great, have you seen the video where Misha navigates rally style a full lap of the ring? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZ9S_4E2I0YHave to say thanks. That is brilliant! I've been playing it in VR in Project Cars 2 recently, and starting to get a hang of parts that aren't just the starting few km, but the number of laps you must have to do in order to get that sort of ability to play it out in your head with no visual reference.I've become bored with the look at my shiny new mega bucks car and cover it in cling film copy and paste brigade...none of them even wash their own cars never mind lift a spanner to one.
Cars are all about driving, tinkering and talking about them, I'am really enjoying Harry's Garage the 911 Turbo S and 812 Superfast video's were superb top of the class stuff from Harry,
Tyrrell's Classic Workshop has quickly become one of my favorites stunning cars and simply incredible work, knowledge and history from Ian Tyrrell this is only going to get better and better I can't wait for a Countach video.
And for tinkering nonsense Cleetus McFarland has become another favorite its just plain and simple great fun to watch these guys going about doing what they do messing about with cars they even have their own race track.

Tyrrell and Metcalfe are the kings of YouTube for grown ups.
Iain to my knowledge is the only mechanic in the UK who dailys a Rolex whilst he's spannering which is pure class.
Scope there for a joint venture with Harry I reckon. Iain and Harry's classic car stories. I bet there are a few between them.
