Because I don't live near Romford any more.

And yes, it still does happen, at least around Romford on the A12.
Was behind a couple of badly modified base model small hatchbacks at the lights there not long ago, and they sat there bouncing their 1 litre engines off the limiters before using their LingLong front tyres as a clutch when the lights changed.
I didn't try to race them, but because their cars were so rubbish and they made such a mess of setting off, I pretty much kept up with them driving normally in my taxi spec Octavia until they reached the speed limit without trying!!
