PS4 - what monitor?

I know nothing about this tech (not for me). If I buy the latest PS and and pair with a stand alone monitor, what spec do I need for both for highest quality? Money no object (within reason).

Does it have to be a monitor?

Could you not use a TV?

Genuine question, are monitors any better than a TV?

I've got the benq rl series 27"

Meant to be official ps monitor and used in some competitive gaming leagues.
