Ohhhh poor Andy, all that research and you got seen off in one pic
Not really - those were all genuine quotes from Nick's beloved and trusted Motorsport Magazine about recent Mercedes SUV's. I did get slightly confused between the different SUV models, probably because they're all so bland and devoid of imagination that they all blend into one another.Another pointless monstrosity so far out of tune with the times it’s not funny. A bigger “**** you” to the environment is harder to imagine.
In years to come I think these “hypo-luxo-SUVs” will be regarded as the final death throes of a bygone age with a combination of contempt and amusement...same as how we regard luxury zeppelins and the titanic.

The SUV hating brigade trotting out the same old lines. It’s not my cup of tea, I’d rather have an RS6, oh my god the centre of gravity. Bore off!
To be fair most threads about car reviewed on here end up with most posts being about why they wouldn’t buy one, predominantly the SUV market. To be frank I’m not really interested reading about a MB product ability to stay upright on a thread about an Audi either.

It's a great mag indeed but not beloved or trusted. Unlike you, I try to use critical thinking. As highlighted, I know very little about SUVs, unlike you. The particular article caught my eye as I was surprised that they liked an SUV. SUV don't really interest me beyond their utilitarian value. The rest of the mag on the other hand...Edited by nickfrog on Wednesday 18th December 09:43

Perhaps. The problem is you could say the same thing about any ICE high performance saloon. It's a slippery slope...
