A weak set of clips this week. I'm sure a few of them are also very old.

Overtaking past a junction is foolish. Overtaking in an unexpected manner, with a vehicle that is behaving in an unexpected manner, is utterly moronic.
As a police officer may have once said to someone I may have been on a course with many years ago 'I have seen Hedgehogs with more road sense than you.'

My bike teacher used to make the point that the wheels give gyroscopic stability, and as soon as you lock the front one you will be going down.
Your bike teacher was wrong. The gyroscopic effect of the wheel accounts for very little. Your front tyre gives you directional grip. Steering into a 'fall' pushes you back upright due to the centrifugal force. You lock the front wheel you completely lost the ability to steer into the fall and you go down.

Lol at the last clip. I always play 'spot the hazard' on these things but I didn't see that coming, should have expected an Aussie hazard!
Accompanied by a lack of swearing, unusual in an aussie dash cam video

Robert U sums up a lot of the frustrations I feel about people. Make a choice, and tell me what you're doing by using the indicators. Don't just listlessly wander between the lanes!

1:29 was interesting, the blue car (Peugeot?) was riding his brakes for over 5 seconds, as the brake light was on and car was moving. So the car behind, distracted by mobile phone or whatever, didn't register the stop. Idiot driver but perhaps the victim could have helped the situation.

I assumed they were looking in their mirrors to try to change lanes, they started indicating right near the end.

Depends how quickly you're travelling, and how heavy the wheel is. At road speed it can be a useful contribution to stabilising the bike over rough surfaces.

Think it was the hazards automatically coming on as the driver brakes hard.

I’m confused by the comment above about the Peugeot brake lights, he started braking to stop due to queuing traffic. So brake lights came on as the driver was braking. Don’t think Peugeot could’ve done anything else.

Maybe, but that's nothing to do with the gyroscopic effect (up and down movements don't affect a spinning wheel at all in terms of precession), just about unsprung weight and suspension.

In all likelihood the BMW got into a race with the Tesla, his ego took a hit and the rest is in the video.
Is why, even in a faster car, I avoid upsetting German car drivers, because a good percentage of them behave like 2 year olds once their ego takes a hit.
